Pelvic Girdle Pain can be severely disabling for a pregnant woman, the symptoms do not always go away after birth and untreated can become chronic leaving the patient in a lot of pain with a new baby to care for. At Tunbridge Wells Osteopaths Quentin Shaw our Principal Classical Osteopath has a special interest in complex spinal and pelvic cases and after 30 years in practice has a depth of knowledge that has enabled him to formulate a very effective treatment plan for this condition. Often GP’s refer patients to physiotherapists for PGP with little improvement. We want to raise awareness about the effectiveness of Classical Osteopathic treatment for this condition so that NICE do not reclassify the condition as untreatable with manual therapy, if they do this could affect the care of many pregnant women in the future.
