Applied Movement Neurology (I’ll refer to it as AMN) is a therapy that utilises the body’s bioelectrical fields to assess for, and normalise dysfunction. In plain English, although an AMN practitioner will never make claims to be able to “diagnose and cure”, what they can do is use a non invasive assessment process to find where there is an issue, and provide information and electricity into the system that will restore balance, and therefore health. It was created by David Fleming, co-founder of the AMN Academy and a therapist with 20 years of experience within the field of pain and movement dysfunction. The Assessment Process

The AMN practitioner will begin by taking a history, as this could provide vital information on underlying causes of dysfunction. However the process of investigation involves gathering information from the brain and the body that may lie beneath the conscious awareness of the patient. Unlike the method of building a picture of dysfunction by listening to symptoms and associating patterns with examples of similar cases, our method is simply to find out from the body itself what isn’t happy, and why from a bioelectrical perspective that is.
