Across the UK, community first responders (CFRs) play a vital role in saving lives. Trained volunteers are often first on the scene in medical emergencies, providing critical care before ambulance crews arrive.

CFRs schemes operate with limited funding, relying on public support to equip themselves with essential items such as defibrillators, first aid supplies, and uniforms.

Turriff First Responders needs your help so we can provide the tools and training we need to save lives in our community.

Back in March, a charity fashion show was hosted by Light House Ladies to raise funds for local charities including Turriff First Responders.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Light House Ladies for a stylish evening, and the kind donation! 💙🚑

Huge thank you to Turriff Running Club for raising funds for Turriff First Responders from their 5k and 10k event today👏🏼

Turriff Running Club have already kindly donated to TFR in the past and have enabled us to purchase further equipment, including our 2 new kit bags. As the TFR team is growing, it is essential we can equip all Responders for more coverage in the community. The donations from today will go towards further training equipment and uniform.

Well done to all runners who took part and being a part of fundraising for our very important team!

Did you know? The average ambulance wait time in Turriff is 30 minutes—nearly four times longer than the national target of 8 minutes for life-threatening emergencies. In critical situations, every second counts, and that's where you can make a lifesaving impact. ❤️🕒

As a First Responder, you'll be trained to provide vital care in those precious moments before an ambulance arrives, ensuring our friends, family, and neighbours get the help they need when it matters most. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to step up and make a difference.

We are looking to recruit volunteers to strengthen our local response team and keep Turriff safe.

Welcome to Turriff First Responders! ⛑️🚑

Turriff First Responders is a volunteer run community group devoted to assisting the Scottish Ambulance Service by attending certain types of emergency calls within our local area. We aim to reach potential life threatening emergencies in the first vital minutes before the ambulance crew arrives.

Our responders are trained to a high standard by the Scottish Ambulance Service in CPR, identifying strokes and sepsis, choking and general first aid.

If becoming a First Responder is something you are interested in then feel free to drop us a message for more information.

We are also on the look out for expanding our newly formed committee, so if you can give up any time to help build our group then please get in touch.
