I’ll be honest…

For a long time, I didn’t really respect 3D printed eyewear.

When you come from Italian acetate… Japanese titanium… hand-finished detail… there’s a certain feeling you connect with.

And 3D printing doesn’t give you that straight away.

But recently… I’ve gone down a bit of a rabbit hole with it.

And I’ve completely changed my perspective.

In this video, I break down:

• How 3D printed eyewear is actually made
• Why collectors struggle to connect with it
• Why it’s becoming a designer’s playground
• And where I genuinely believe this is heading

This isn’t about replacing traditional eyewear.

It’s about understanding a new direction in optics.

She’s not just a frame… she’s a creature.

Karma 4 by PARASITE. A symbiotic form, sculpted with a feminine edge.

A cat-eye silhouette that doesn’t simply sit, but wraps and clasps behind… giving her that unmistakable three-dimensional presence from every angle.

Only a few can truly behold her.

For this piece, we kept the Lens Art deliberately restrained.
Bespoke varifocals, clean and precise. Allowing her form to speak without interruption.

Then… a subtle layer of glamour.
A soft gold sheen, designed to eliminate glare and halos, but more importantly, to dance with that n**e brow line.

But she doesn’t stay the same.
Step outside, and she transforms.
A deep ruby Transitions emerges… catching the gold, bending the light, revealing flashes of red that shift with every movement.

She’s controlled.
She’s alluring.

Understated, but when you get close… different level. The engraving, the gold, the balance — everything considered.

Naturally, it needed Lens Art.

We built a vibrant purple base to contrast that deep British racing green, then layered a purple photochromic to let it evolve with light.

Finished with a subtle glamour coating to catch the gold and tie it all together.

Not just eyewear.
