A couple of months ago, we were asked to conduct an assessment of a lady in a care home who had a combination of very complex needs and an extreme fear of sitting out of her bed, which meant that she had been confined to bed for 6 years.
We assessed her using a Careflex Smart Seat Pro II chair and after some reassurance, we transfered her into the chair. She immediately loved the chair and we took her into the lounge where she happily socialised with the other residents, something she had missed for the past 6 years.
Her family ordered the chair and we delivered and set it up this week. She was very excited to receive her new chair and and has been sitting out in it, but only for short periods until her seating tolerance increases.
It really is lovely to make such a huge difference to people's lives.
