We could not be prouder of our wonderful activities coordinator and dementia lead Liza Cox. 🥲🏅✨

On Friday night we had the pleasure of attending the Great British Care Awards and Liza ended up WINNING the award for Care Home Activity Organiser 2025! 🏆 ❤️

For anyone that has met or worked with Liza, you’ll agree that her dedication, compassion and creativity shines through every day! The happiness and joy she brings to the staff and residents resonates throughout Bridge House. 💓

Liza has now been entered for The Great British Care Awards National Finals 2026 in February!

🌟 On Thursday, we had a truly special day at Bridge House as we celebrated our Long Service Awards! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of our amazing team and the wonderful spirit that fills our home. The afternoon was filled with laughter, gratitude, and some very touching moments as we honoured the dedication of our staff who go above and beyond every single day.

A heartfelt thank you to our special guests who joined us to make the event even more memorable:

✨ John Edmonds from the Twyford Scouts
✨ A representative Marcela Rosham from Sue Ryder and Anne-Marie Adam’s from the Care Home Support Team

We were also treated to some fantastic entertainment – the Silk Street Jazz Band set the tone beautifully, and our very own Activities Assistant Hannah closed the day with lively music that had everyone up for some “interesting” dancing! 🎶💃🕺

It was a wonderful reminder of just how special Bridge House is – not only because of our staff but also thanks to the warmth and support of our wider community. 💚

Here’s to many more years of teamwork, care, and celebration together! 🥂

We love our musical entertainment at Bridge House and are very lucky to have so many great people visit to perform for us.
As well as ‘Terry’ our almost resident singer, musician, we have recently enjoyed visits from a wonderful group of ladies called ‘Stars in their Eyes’ who took us on a trip down memory lane both in music and costume.
Another regular duo that we always look forward to is the Hannah and Sophie Show, who delight us all with their beautiful voices.
