Type O -The genetic makeup relates back to the cavemen and women who spent their days hunting and defending themselves against predators.
Best Exercise : Oβs are usually strong and more athletic, so need high-intensity sports like interval training, running, strong swimming and any aerobic exercise. Oβs often use exercise as an emotional outlet, and need it more than other blood types to manage stress and anxiety
Type A - Aβs DNA relates back to ancient farmers, and though they were active, they spent their days doing slower, less intense activities like planting crops.
Best Exercise: Intense exercise actually increases Aβs levels of the stress hormone cortisol and can lead to muscle fatigue and stiffness. Aβs do best by opting for calming activities that help with focus and also protect joints, like Pilates, yoga, Tai Chi, walking, swimming and low impact exercises.
Type B - Bβs ancestors were nomads, so they moved around from place to place, although in a calm mindful seasonal way They also traveled in large groups.
Best Exercise : Bβs may benefit from group cardio workouts that are slightly lower impact, tennis or cycling, walking as well as resistance training. Being artistic and meditating is important for Bβs and can get their metabolism going!
Type AB - ABβs DNA is a mixture and has elements of Type A and B.
Best Exercise : ABβs can get muscle and joint stiffness from high-power cardio sessions, so are suited to more gentle exercise, like walking, hiking, golf, or dance. Also yoga, Tai Chi can be helpful for keeping muscles and joints supple and moods level.
