This week has been Spring Clearing week. The week where we start to get that tingle of wanting to open the doors and windows, clear out the musty dusty winter and all the clutter that comes with it ready for some Spring Cleaning.

If you've been busy this week and have a busy couple of weeks ahead with the Easter Holidays then how about looking forward to Monday 13th April when I start my two week mini declutter with you all.

It's free to join. It will be on Whatsapp so won't matter what platform you use for your socials and it will be 15 mins a day when we sort out a small bit of our home. No overwhelm. No panic. Just 15 miins of clearing out what no longer serves us.

If you want to get involved then just comment "Spring" below in the comments and I'll send you the info.

"They went into my closets looking for skeletons, but thank God, all they found were shoes, beautiful shoes."
A quote from Imelda Marcos.

I'm all for beautiful shoes (apart from the fact I have wide feet 😭), but if you have lots and lots of them there likely becomes a point where you don't actually remember what shoes you own and where they might be.

My client loved shoes, which was obvious when we counted up pver 100 pairs of shoes, but she had forgotten about lots of them, had duplicates of some and just no longer liked a fair few of them too! All these were dotted around the house in different cupborads but after a good edit of her shoe collection we could fit them in just two areas so she could easily see what she had and could wear them!

How many shoes have you got? Let me know in the comments!

It's Global Recycling Day today, who knew that was a thing!?

I am actually trying to get us to recycle less in our household...not because I've decided climate change isn't a thing or that the world needs more landfill sites, but because I'm trying to REDUCE the amount of packaging I use full stop rather than just recycling all the plastic cartons and thinking that the job is done.

Recycling is much better than just chucking it in the bin or a skip to be added to a landfill site or incinerated (burnt plastic - yum), but there is only so many materials that can be properly recycled without using huge amounts of energy and there are only so many resources, like South Warwickshire's state of the art facilitiy, that can actually recycle the majority of the stuff we use.

That is why reusing and refilling and choosing low or no packaging where possible is what I'm aiming for now, as recycling can only go part of the way to helping our poor Earth and it's inhabitants!

What do you struggle to reduce or recycle? Let me know in the comments and I might be able to help with some hints and tips!

If your rooms are having to work too hard then drop me a message now and lets have a chat.and you have no calm, quiet spaces, it can be overwhelming. With a little tweaking and, of course, some decluttering, there is usually another way to use the space that gives you SPACE too.

If you're rooms are having to work too hard then drop me a message now and lets have a chat.

Most of our houses now have to have 'multitasking' rooms, but when it takes over your home and you have no calm, quiet spaces it can be overwhelming. With a little tweaking and, of course, some decluttering there is usually another way to use your space that gives you SPACE too.
