I’m Libby and I am the face behind the brand. I specialise in natural fragrances for the home and for people who love to fill their space with beautiful aromas.
I offer natural scented candles, wax melts, reed diffusers and more. I make all of these home fragrances in my own kitchen, in the gorgeous Wiltshire countryside where I live with my fiancé and two cockatiels.
I originally grew up as an only child in Burnham, Buckinghamshire with my parents and two cats.
(Always 2 cats...I can't remember a time us not having cats)
Even though I had no siblings, I had very good friends who were as close as. I was always out playing in our little cul-de-sac, cycling and running around making up games. We had no mobile phones or iPads, just bikes and our imaginations. And I’m glad, otherwise I wouldn’t have had the fun happy childhood that I did.
After attending The Brigidine Convent school in Windsor, then a secondary school closer to home, I went on to attend a college in High Wycombe to study Beauty Therapy and Aromatherapy, which I enjoyed thoroughly. But after qualifying for these studies I ended up in a completely different career. I took a Security Officer job to start earning a wage and ended up there for over 15 years! But it's where I met my fiancé, and with help from my amazing parents, it is also how we were able to purchase our home. So, I have no regrets.
I've always loved candles, always bought candles and fragrances for the home but never made a candle before in my life. But when I've got an exciting idea, nothing can stop me. So I started to research and learn how to do it myself, finding experts in the field and learning from their stories and mistakes (and my own), and started from there.
I also missed working with essential oils, so I added them into the mix and used my own Aromatherapy knowledge to come up with the recipes I use today.
The natural benefits and properties essential oils hold are amazing. Relaxing, Uplifting, Calming, Sedating ... I had to start somewhere, so the first essential oil candle blend I made was and is my all time favourite … Lavender & Geranium, now called Relaxing Serenity.
This blend of two amazing essential oils brings relaxation to the mind, body and spirit, and was the massage blend I used on my aromatherapy clients through college and work experience.
During early 2020 when the pandemic hit us with full force, I was furloughed along with my partner for over 3 months. But before my furlough ended, I decided to take a leap of faith and accept the offer of voluntary redundancy to concentrate on my candles and essential oils and turn my hobby into a business.
I never in a million years thought I would start a business. It scared me and worried me because this was well out of my comfort zone. But the feedback I had from family, friends and others just overwhelmed me with a sense of achievement. I still get excited when I receive customer reviews.
So, to take it to the next level, in July I completely rebranded my business, and here I am now.
As a small independent producer my products are handmade in small batches so I hold a small amount of stock, then make more to restock when needed.
I am passionate about nature and the environment so I source only eco-friendly, recyclable, biodegradable or compostable packaging. All ingredients are sourced from reputable UK suppliers that are trusted and share the same values that I strive to uphold.
