We're really pleased to be running the 10th Yoga Focus, yoga therapy Foundation 50 hour course this March 2026.
This Foundation course is also the Stage One of the full 580 hour course providing an option to continue training to become a Professional Yoga Therapist, working in Health services including NHS and Private Sector supporting clients on their health journeys.
This course is also proving to be an excellent opportunity to deeply understand your own physical and mental health which in turn helps those around you, your family, friends and work colleagues.
The venues have been chosen specifically to align with Nature and to be within more natural environments such as at Mandala Ashram in the hills of South Wales and in the Cotswolds where we encourage immersion into beautiful countryside.
As the course founder and director, I place great emphasis on Self compassionate based practices as a fundamental resource for healing. I lead trainings on mental health, trauma, cancer and chronic fatigue. My background is in the NHS (occupational therapist in physical but mainly mental health services such as forensic psychiatry) and have worked as a yoga teacher and therapist for over 30 years. My trainings have veered towards Tibetan healing yoga and I am a Mindfulness (MBSR) teacher bringing Dharma traditions into the course.
Our MSK lead trainer is Vicky Arundel, a truly inspiring and deeply knowledgeable trainer teaching Anatomy and Physiology in Stage One and in Stage Two ,chronic pain, neurology and myofascial release.
Our Guest Trainers for Stage Two, include Megan McCarthy, yoga therapist from USA who is a remarkable trainer in Somatics and we are truly blessed she has agreed to come on board.
For Stage Two course, Krishnapremandana, from Mandala Ashram will be teaching on Ancient Texts relevant to yoga therapy and Tarik Dervish will return to lead on Ayurveda. Joanna Bogacz is our excellent lead on Professional Studies and we are blessed to have further guest trainers such as Margaret Landale (psychosomatics), Kate Binnie (cancer and palliative care) and Lizzie Cummings (creative therapies) all relating to yoga therapy.
We purposefully keep numbers on this course small so that we can create a more personal approach to learning and we provide plenty of support and supervision throughout. We create a relaxed atmosphere to learning, with plenty of enjoyment, and plenty of experiential practice.
