Visual stress is more common than many people realise. It’s a condition where the brain finds it hard to process visual information comfortably – especially when reading or working on screens.
People with visual stress may notice:
• Words moving, blurring or jumping
• Headaches or eye strain when reading
• Light sensitivity
• Poor concentration or visual fatigue
Visual stress isn’t about intelligence or effort – it’s about how the visual system processes contrast and colour. The good news? There are ways we can help reduce these symptoms.
Our visual stress assessments are carried out by Karen, who has a special interest in this area.
