Our Story
Somatic Movement Coaching Somatic Movement works by releasing muscle tension and re-training the muscles to relax through a series of simple and effective movements which are suitable for everyone. It can be very effective for anyone with on-going pain or muscle tension. It is also beneficial for anyone who wants to increase and improve their mobility range for general health and wellbeing. I teach mini classes form my practise room at home in Mathry and I am also running a series of workshops at Wholefoods and Healing in Fishguard and The Ark in Haverfordwest. One to one sessions are available. The sessions are approx. one hour and will involve an initial consultation and a series of exercises to learn for home practise. I also work alongside my partner Darren Gibbs of Active Somatics who is a Somatic Movement Coach and a Clinical Somatic Educator. Please see the website for further information. Somatic Movement is still fairly new to the UK which is why you may not have heard of it before. There are very few qualified coaches in the UK at the moment. Reflexology Reflexology is a very relaxing holistic therapy using reflex points and massage on the feet to help bring about a feeling of balance and well being. Since training as a Reflexologist in 2002 at the Bristol School of Reflexology my emphasis is on relaxation (not diagnosis) and on allowing the body to heal and restore itself. Regular Reflexology can help to: reduce stress and tension; encourage the elimination of toxins; boost the immune system; balance the bodies systems and maintain good health. The treatment takes about 45 mins plus an extra 15 mins medical consultation for the first session. It costs £30 for a Reflexology session.
