Top 5% in your age and gender is pretty damn good and we'll keep going because we have some lofty goals.

Done with a little bit of weight loss and zero strength loss too!

Who knew this slightly overweight coach knew how to improve health and cardiovascular fitness too!

And since moving fully online none of that has changed.

✅ Individualised and tailored
✅ Adapted when needed
✅ Always willing to back up and give the reasons I've chose something

That, along with the progress people get, is probably why people stick around so long.

I have space to take on new one to one clients,
And it's also a great entry point to join either of the Online Weightlifting or Get Big Get Strong Teams.

Hit me up if either option peaks your interest.

I've worked with Jack for about 6 years now,
Without stating the obvious, thats a long time,
So it's unrealistic to think it was all smooth sailing.

We've had many highs, and we've also had training cycles that were downright frustrating, but the focus always remained on high quality training and good processes.

Because while it's fairly normal for a 12 week training cycle to not reap the reward you'd like, it's hard for 6 years of high quality training to be beaten down by variance.

A before and after would probably have been more effective in terms of marketing, but given how long I've coached him, you should have seen Jack on my page before.

The big squats, snatches, clean & jerks and competition wins, so you can have this Power Sn**ch PB from a year ago and make do with that as the content.

I have space to work one to one with Strongmen, Weightlifters, Powerlifters and S&C clients.

Hit me up if you'd like to talk.

Outcomes fluctuate and using only them as indicators of good or bad will make training an emotional and often unenjoyable process, because from time to time great processes can yield undesirable or nil outcomes and likewise, from time to time terrible processes can yield great ones.

It's my opinion that if you want to make training a more enjoyable time, focus on the processes you use and training standards you adhere to over what the acute outcomes are, Because you'll never get rid of short term variance, but over the long term, it's hard to get bad outcomes out of good processes and high standards.

A keen eye for detail can be developed,
But it also has to be implemented,
And that only happens if a coach gives a s**t.

I regularly post the feedback I give clients on my story,
Because in an industry filled with those looking for a side hustle with easy entry and where clicks are valued higher than substance.

I want you to see there's a better way and that there are coaches that exist who value the privilege and profession of being able to coach.

Who's plan that extends outside of being a cheerleader shouting 'great work' at the top of their voice.

The online coaching industry gets a bad wrap, and rightly so, but I've never been one to blend in to the crowd and I've often done things differently.

If you want a coach who will coach you, you know where I am.

I EMOM on the sprints because it kept the time down,
And 3x3 on the Jumps and Throws because it put the focus on quality,
But it's just a frame work.

There's nothing stopping you:
- Adjusting the sprints to fit the distance you need to work on,
- Doing double or singles on the intensive jump,
- Measuring your extensive jumps in time or distance,
- Or going for higher or lower reps on the throws.

Bend it to fit you, just like I would if I was coaching you 👀

People seem to stop moving fast once they leave school, or finish with sport.

They’ll continue to Squat, Deadlift & Press heavy,
But Jumps, Sprints & Throws become non-existent.

Explosive movements teach you to move fast, but they're also the quickest adaptations to disappear if you don't train them.

You don't need a full session of explosive work,
But if you never move fast, don’t be surprised when you become slow.

Explosive work can be confusing at times,
So if you're stuck for a basic structure,
Give me a follow and then head to 2 posts back on my timeline.

The issue with online coaching is that people are often left disappointed.

Confidence and trust within the industry is at an all time low because too many 'coaches' are shouting 'individualisation, but the reality is they're just selling a spreadsheet.

You deserve more than a glorified spreadsheet.

Because the 'Here's your program, crack on' approach is something ChatGPT can do and you can get you calorie targets for free online.

Coaching, It's about being the problem solver and focussing on you.

Finding how your lifestyle, habits, beliefs and mindset all work together,
And then building an appropriate program around you and the goals you have.

Coaching should be built around what you need.

Busy week at work? Let's chat and I'll adjust things.

Need a chat about your diet? Let's hop on a call.

Whatever you need, it shouldn't leave you disappointed.

Good coaching isn’t complicated, It’s just unfortunately rare.

If you’re ready for a coach who won't leave you disappointed,
You know where to find me.

The EMOM takes around 10 minutes,
The Jumps & Throws take around 8 minutes.

Even with a couple minutes of faffing around, thats around 20 minutes to get all of your explosive work in and move onto your strength work.

If you find your session is taking too long, drop some of your less important isolation bodybuilding work, because you're probably doing too much of it anyway.

*Not a coaching post*

This guy is my best mate, has been for 13 and a half years, but he's really not very well right now.

He's passing out, having trouble breathing and generally not very comfortable, honestly while I try to remain optomistic, I'm not sure how hopeful things are looking.

Brain space feels at a premium right now, so if I'm a little quieter than usual, it's because I'm keeping my own capacities for him, my children and my clients, rather than social media output.

Jack with 130kg x5 for a new 5RM and there's a lot to be said for keeping it simple and working hard!

Early phase training prioritised the Back Squat for non specific strength and hypertrophy.

Later phase training prioritised the Front Squat for something more specific to weightlifting and to take advantage of the non specific strength that was built.

Then we moved into a focus on the competition lifts which is about as specific as you can get in Olympic Weightlifting.

Hows that for a crash course in periodisation.

And if you still find the whole thing too complex, I have space to take on new one to one clients.
DM me if that idea floats your boat.

There are absolutely ways to modify this to make it longer, shorter, higher in volume, or higher in frequency in order to fit certain programs, or individuals better.

But this will work well for a vast number of people and populations,
It's also a freebie and I can't give you everything I know in a carousel.

If you want everything in my brain and for me to organise your training and progress for you,
I have space to take on one to one clients.

Just drop me a message if that sounds appealing.
