🎨 Creative Visit to GOMA ✏️

Last Friday we had a wonderful outing to GOMA, where we spent time engaging creatively with our surroundings through simple drawing and observation activities inside the gallery πŸ–ΌοΈβœ¨

The aim was to slow down and really notice the details around us β€” patterns πŸ”·, colours 🎨, shapes πŸ”Ά, and forms β€” and see what might spark creative inspiration πŸ’‘

Through mindful looking and short creative exercises, such as:
✏️ Drawing without taking the pen off the paper
πŸ‘€ Sketching without looking at the page
…we gave ourselves time to pause, reflect, and observe more deeply 🌿🧠

It was also a chance to:
πŸ–ŒοΈ Build confidence using different drawing materials
🎨 Explore creative expression through experimentation
✏️ Enjoy playful sketching and trying new ideas

Along the way, we also wrote down our thoughts and responses to the artworks πŸ“. It was a lovely reminder that creativity doesn’t have to be perfect β€” it just needs curiosity and openness πŸ’βœ¨

Happy International Women’s Day from all of us at Refugee Sanctuary Scotland πŸŒπŸ’œ

We wish women around the globe a joyful and empowering International Women’s Day 🌎🌸 β€” today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and leadership of women everywhere.

We are especially inspired by the incredible women in our community who have crossed borders, rebuilt their lives, and continue to shape and strengthen our shared future ✨πŸ’ͺ

We honour the courage of women seeking sanctuary, the compassion of volunteers, and the dedication of staff and trustees who stand in solidarity with women facing displacement and injustice πŸ€πŸ’œ

Together, we commit to creating safe spaces, amplifying women’s voices, and working towards a more equal and welcoming Scotland for all 🏴🌟

Lorna will help you feel confident understanding different accents, including the famous Glasgow accent β€” yes, you’ll finally master words like β€œaye” in true Weegie style! πŸ˜‰πŸ΄.

πŸ’Œ Register your interest now:
