🌟 Farewell and Best Wishes to Katie! 🌟

Today we say goodbye to Katie as she leaves Belong at Home for exciting new adventures. Katie has been an incredible part of our team, bringing care, compassion, and dedication to everything she does.

She’s now heading off to work with children and younger adultsa role that we know will benefit hugely from her kindness and energy.

Katie, thank you for everything you’ve done for our customers and colleagues. You’ll be greatly missed, but we’re so proud of you and wish you all the success and happiness in your new chapter! 💙

"Since I requested help from the Belong at Home manager Heather back in the Spring, we have felt in safe hands from her and her team. A thorough needs assessment took place to get to know mum and dad's requirements. She is always responsive to my communications and clearly cares about offering the best support she can in increasingly challenging circumstances. She and her team are flexible and always friendly and professional, treating my parents with care and respect. Dad's carer has shown incredible patience as his dementia worsens and his resistance to care increases. There is a sense that there is good communication amongst the team and oversight of how things are and we have regular chats to review how things are going. It is a stressful time and so reassuring and comforting to know Belong at Home are doing all they can to support us."

Belong at Home is run by North West based not-for-profit care provider, Belong, which specialises in supporting people with dementia. The service was launched to enable us to extend our support beyond villages to people’s own homes in the wider community. In line with our ‘home for life’ concept, we aim to support people whatever their physical needs or their stage of their journey with dementia. We bring the same pioneering spirit that led to the creation of Belong villages to our Belong at Home service, continuously looking to improve the way we operate. As a listening organisation, we take the lead from our customers, seeking constant feedback on what we can do better through ‘Our listening to the experts’ surveys, regular wellbeing reviews and feedback forums.
