These are FREE sessions where you can try on different styles of slings/baby carriers and find the one that works for you - and you can hire it if you want to take it home to try it! We can also check the fit of your own carrier for a £5 donation. Our sling meets are open to everyone - expecting families, new families, and families with newborns, toddlers and/or preschoolers! We almost certainly have a sling for you 🫶

💸CAN YOU BABYWEAR ON A BUDGET?💸

Absolutely! There are hundreds of different slings out there, and a fair few that can be bought secondhand for £15 or less. One of the first questions we'll ask at the sling library is what your budget is. We have carriers in our library retailing up to about £200 new. But if your budget is tight, we can work within it and recommend you a safe and comfortable sling suitable for you and your baby.

Babywearing doesn't have to be expensive, but it can be a little overwhelming when the most advertised slings are either the most expensive or are cheap but unsafe.

❔CAN I BABYWEAR WITH A BAD BACK? ❔

Very, very likely - but you might need to try on a few different styles of slings to find which one works for your unique needs. Ignore the targeted marketing by companies that offer carriers certified by chiropractors or enhanced with 'tailored back support'. Most carriers on the market offer back support, but that doesn't mean it will work for your body.

🛫 HIRE A SLING FOR THE HOLIDAYS 🛫

Thinking a sling might be helpful for your next holiday, but don't want to splurge on a nice carrier that'll only be used for a couple holidays before being outgrown? Hire a sling instead! We have dozens of suitable options, including some great lightweight slings perfect for shoving in a bag. Why hire?

You get to use a safe, comfortable sling for a fraction of the price - and are shown how to safely wear the sling by trained volunteers.

You do not need come to come to the sling library to hire for a holiday either! Just message us and we can arrange for the sling to be collected.
