Antibiotic Resistance is Everyone’s Business: Act Now, Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future.

What are the key messages?
💊Take unused medicines back to the pharmacy: throwing antibiotics in the bin, sinks, or toilets can harm the environment.
💊 Don’t share antibiotics with others: they won’t work properly and could make the problem worse.
💊 Follow your prescribers advice: antibiotics don’t work on viruses like the common cold or flu.
💊 Wash your hands regularly: help stop the spread of antibiotic resistant infection.

⁉️What does Antibiotic Resistance mean?
This means the antibiotic no longer kills the bacteria, and taking antibiotics when you don’t need will allow the bacteria to develop a resistance to the antibiotic.
