Today is World Mental Health Day 💚🌍

Did you know that untreated hearing loss doesn’t just affect your ears - it can affect your mind and overall wellbeing too?

Research shows that people with untreated hearing loss are at a higher risk of depression, anxiety, and social isolation. When communication becomes difficult, many start to withdraw from conversations, social activities, and even loved ones - which can take a real toll on mental health.

Regular hearing check-ups and the right hearing care can make a huge difference - helping you stay connected, confident, and emotionally healthy.

Let’s make hearing health part of the mental health conversation.

A calmer lifestyle helps reduce stress, which may support your overall wellbeing and ease symptoms of conditions like tinnitus. Chronic stress can increase the perception of ringing or buzzing in the ears, making it harder to cope. By incorporating relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, mindfulness, gentle exercise, or even just taking regular breaks during your day, you can help calm your nervous system and support healthier hearing.

Make time for rest - your ears (and your whole body) will thank you!

In case you haven't heard we have been helping to support Essex & Herts Air Ambulance across the Summer by offering our Ultimate Hearing Test and hearing aid reviews in exchange for a donation instead of our usual fees.

This initiative seems to have been well received by the many clients who have visited us over the past few months and made donations via the collection boxes in our practices and our JustGiving page.

So well in fact that we have decided to extend the initial period through to the end of October.

So, if you, or someone you know would benefit from either our ultimate hearing test or hearing aid review then be sure to make your booking by calling us on 0800 6121 345.

Is your hearing aid as effective as it once was? It’s time to find out.

If your hearing aid isn’t performing like it used to - or never really delivered - our Hearing Aid Review is designed for clarity, not pressure. Let's assess how well your device is working and explore upgrades or adjustments with expert audiologists. It’s all about you and your hearing needs.

This September, we’re inviting you to book a 45 minute Hearing Aid Review for just a donation to the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance - instead of our usual £89 fee. A small donation, a big difference.

Not only will you receive no-pressure, professional insight into your hearing aid’s performance, but you’ll also support a vital local service, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, helping save lives every day.

Call us today on 0800 6121 345 to book - help your ears and help your community, all in one appointment.
