In exploring radical letting go and dropping the habit of taking things personally, I’m being taken through the fire of experiencing challenges in doing this.

Of course. This is the Way. The Truth. The Life.

And to solidify the lesson of Love - I’m experiencing it with, for and through my sensitive 9 year old daughter. My mini-Me… ❤️‍🔥

Sensitive does not mean wimpy or pathetic - it means you feel everything, always, very keenly. And often, this comes out in rage and confused emotions. And when you’re 9 (or any age!) you need to express it.

As a Mum, it’s my job to love and accept her and all this unconditionally and provide a safe space for her to be in all the ugliness of uncontrolled and misdirected emotion.

And, in doing this, I parent myself as well - all the old wounds that I kept down and to myself because it’s unpalatable to most people to be around sad, hurt people. (Because it triggers those parts of them.) It’s never too late…

This Age is a New Age - where we feel. In feeling we emote. E-motion. Moving through the emotions until they leave our bodies - stopping us from storing pain which eventually makes us ill.

It’s a narrow path. And a lonely one. But truth is everything, and it starts with self honesty and fierce love for the truth you find within.

And this popped up today.

Feel it, own it, find a safe space to get that emotion (energy-in-motion) expressed. Ex-press.

Freedom is a journey and with awake and aware parents who can breathe through the process of inviting truth and emoting with their children, we might just raise up emotionally healthy children and reverse generational trends of shame, fear and unexpressed selves.

Love. Truth.
