This morning we were joined by some very special guests Pablo, Sam, Holly & Chrissy the skunk πŸ¦‰πŸ¦¨

The brilliant John came to see us this morning and gave us a talk about his amazing birds & Chrissy. We had the opportunity to interact up close with the birds and Chrissy which was amazing. John was very informative and answered all our questions. Our residents & staff really this visit and we hope to see John again soon.

What a fantastic way to start the day.

This morning we had some 1:1 sessions walking around the village making the most of this beautiful weather- a little chillier than Tuesday but beautiful non the less. 🌼
A few of us then discussed the home touching on aspects like activities, food, care and the home overall. The feedback from residents and family was amazing, and very very positive. πŸ‘πŸ»
After lunch we welcomed Archy for the very first time and he did not disappoint, with his wit & humour but most of all his talent! Playing not 1 not 2 but 3 instruments (not at once that would be something) whilst singing some Irish songs and some very well known songs promoting residents to join in. We cant wait to welcome Archy back in the future.

This morning we had some 1:1 sessions walking round the village admiring the spring flowers in bloom and the beautiful weather. 🌼🌸
We then had our weekly game of Bingo, well done to our 3 winners πŸ‘πŸ»
After lunch we are back out in the garden enjoying the sunshine and blue skies, having a natter and spotting the wildlife in the garden. 🐞
Those who have wished to stay inside are completing some St Patrick's Day Active mind booklets whilst listening to some irish musicπŸ€

What a morning!
Firstly thank you Eleanor for bringing the sunshine to the Rectory and giving us the best morning dancing and singing, our residents, visitors and staff always look forward to your visits.
After lunch we did some nail care, and stepped out in to the garden to blow the cobwebs away (literally)πŸ’¨β˜€οΈ before settling down to watch a carry on film with a hot drink. β˜•οΈ

Our morning walk was rained off today so instead we had a quiz, ranging from general knowledge, music, history and a few brain teasers.
After lunch we had a little competition with some mini games. First we had a game of velcro target and Mary was our winner with 150 points πŸ‘πŸ»
We then had a game of hoop toss, and this was a close one but our over all winner was Reg with 60 points!πŸ‘πŸ»
We then had a sing along to music whilst others completed some active minds booklets.

Our Location.

The Old Rectory was built in the 16th Century and forms a central focus within the home, sited on the edge of Bramshall which is a small village between Uttoxeter and Stafford. The Old Rectory overlooks the vale of Bramshall which forms a backdrop of unspolit rural English countryside providing an atmosphere of contentment and tranquillity. This idealic 'Constable' scene is matched by an internal environment which styles its two main lounges on that of a mid 20th Century country house, with a dining room which one would expect to find in a fist class country hotel. Bedrooms are either standard or premium, many having en-suite toilet and bathing facilities, the majority with garden and scenic views.
