What a morning!
Firstly thank you Eleanor for bringing the sunshine to the Rectory and giving us the best morning dancing and singing, our residents, visitors and staff always look forward to your visits.
After lunch we did some nail care, and stepped out in to the garden to blow the cobwebs away (literally)💨☀️ before settling down to watch a carry on film with a hot drink. ☕️

Our morning walk was rained off today so instead we had a quiz, ranging from general knowledge, music, history and a few brain teasers.
After lunch we had a little competition with some mini games. First we had a game of velcro target and Mary was our winner with 150 points 👏🏻
We then had a game of hoop toss, and this was a close one but our over all winner was Reg with 60 points!👏🏻
We then had a sing along to music whilst others completed some active minds booklets.

This morning we had a 1:1 session walk around the village spotting wildlife and the spring flowers. 🐝 💐
We then had our weekly game of Bingo, we had 2 lucky winners today both ladies winning 2 rounds each! Well done ladies 👏🏻
We also had a tiny visitor, Rachel our cleaner found a baby newt and showed our residents before releasing him/her back in to the fields. 🦎
This afternoon we had a mixture of activies going on. Some of our residents opted to watch a comedy & chat with eachother. Others opted to complete some March themed active minds booklets, helping eachother with crosswords, whilst our lovely lady Joyce had some time with her baby doll.

We started the day off with some morning news followed by a quiz and some jokes & brain teasers inbetween.
After lunch we were visited by therapy dog Ben & owner Lucy. They spent time in the lounge going to each individual resident allowing everyone to give Ben a fuss and chat with Lucy. They then visited the rooms of residents, ensuring everyone got chance to see Ben and give him lots of fuss.

Our Location.

The Old Rectory was built in the 16th Century and forms a central focus within the home, sited on the edge of Bramshall which is a small village between Uttoxeter and Stafford. The Old Rectory overlooks the vale of Bramshall which forms a backdrop of unspolit rural English countryside providing an atmosphere of contentment and tranquillity. This idealic 'Constable' scene is matched by an internal environment which styles its two main lounges on that of a mid 20th Century country house, with a dining room which one would expect to find in a fist class country hotel. Bedrooms are either standard or premium, many having en-suite toilet and bathing facilities, the majority with garden and scenic views.
