Did you know, here at Bateman House Care Home we offer short-term respite care as well as long-term residential care? We often care for people who have been recently discharged from hospital and need a few weeks of recovery time. We also support many family carers who look after someone living with dementia at home. We take care of their loved ones whilst they take a well-earned break.❤️

On Monday we were invited to the prep school concert at Stafford Grammar School. Thank you to all the prep school and for making us welcome.

On Friday a few of our residents went to watch the dress rehearsal at Tynsel Park's school, Uttoxeter. The reception and years 1 and 2 were all amazing in their Christmas play. We are looking forward to welcoming them back to our home for some Christmas festive fun.

On Tuesday we welcomed Uttoxeter Brass band, they played a variety of Christmas carols that got us all singing to they were all friendly and we can't wait to welcome them back next year for our 1st summer fete.

On Wednesday we welcomed guest speaker Kath Reynolds - Reminiscence who gave us a talk all about Christmas and memories, taking a trip down memory lane and enjoying the festive time of the year . It's lovely to hear our residents share happy memories when they were younger.

This morning at Bateman House we have been using our interacting OMI this equipment has over 200 games, puzzles, sensory, Quiz , plus many more. It's very interactive it can be used in groups and also on a one to one .

About Samantha

Mezzo-Soprano Samantha Oxborough is a recent Royal Birmingham Conservatoire graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Studies with a First class Honours and a post graduate certificate. She was a 2019/2020 at the National Opera Studio as a young artist. She has sung the National Anthem at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
She studies with Christine Cairns.
