Yesterday the Bateman Express went on tour, we went into the community to Uttoxeter Waitrose. Waitrose & Partners . Then in the afternoon we went to Stoke the potteries shopping centre. We got some bargains at the market.

Part of Country court getting out and about is key to good social wellbeing.

This morning we have been preparing for remembrance and our coffee morning event next Wednesday at 10am till 12 pm. Our residents have made a number of poppies with a wire attached these can be used as decorations and to take when we visit the national arboretum.

Thank you to our amazing fire service Longton Fire Station - On call Staffordshire fire service who visited us this afternoon.
Our residents got to go on board and have a lovely chat with the team.

In September, the residents of Bateman House Care Home had a 'back to school' themed month and had some questions to ask our children.

They replied brilliantly to their questions. For example, they shared what their favourite lessons are and why, what they want to do for their jobs when they are older and, if they could, what they would change at school if they were in charge for a day!

In return, the residents shared their memories of their school days and told us anecdotes from their childhood.

Our school council listened beautifully, spoke with respect and were super representatives of Tynsel Parkes. Well done school council!
