✨ Spreading festive cheer across our Maternity and Neonatal unit today! ✨

Our team enjoyed a wellbeing walkaround, sharing mince pies, jam tarts, chocolate rolls and hot drinks with our incredible colleagues. A small gesture to say a huge thank you for the dedication, compassion and teamwork shown throughout the year.

We are proud of every member of our staff who continues to go above and beyond for our patients and community. 💙

Here at Hillingdon, we are proud to be constantly learning and refreshing our skills using evidence based knowledge to ensure better birth experiences 🤍

Today some of our midwives had protected time to:

Heartfelt Thanks to Our Maternity Support Workers – Happy MSW Day 💜

Today we celebrated our Maternity Support Workers – the caring hands and calm voices who support women, birthing people, babies and families every day.

To our MSWs, thank you for:
💙 Your gentle reassurance during pregnancy, birth and after
💜 The practical help you give when families are tired, worried or overwhelmed
💛 The way you comfort, encourage and never judge
❤️ Supporting midwives and the whole maternity team to give safe, loving care

This Men’s Mental Health Day, let’s:
👊 Drop the “man up” myth
🤝 Talk honestly with our mates
🩵 Ask for help without shame

Strong doesn’t always mean silent. 💬🧠
Checking in on your boys, booking the therapy session, admitting you’re not okay — that’s real courage.

You’re not a burden. You’re a human being.

This September, NHS services, local authorities, charities and healthcare organisations across the country are joining together once again to share important messages with parents and carers during ICON Week 2025 (22–26 September)

The ICON programme is built around a simple, evidence-based message:

💧Infant crying is normal and will stop
🎶 Comfort methods can sometimes soothe the baby
🆗 It’s OK to walk away for a few minutes if the baby is safe and the crying feels overwhelming
🚫 Never shake or hurt a baby

No parent is alone in this. Support is available through midwives, health visitors, GPs and online resources. Reaching out for help is a positive step for both parents and babies.

August Stats 🥰Fun fact- In August we had 11 babies born on the 11th and 13 babies born on the 13th 😁
