You're full of knowledge about narcissism.

But you're still stuck.

Still not moving forward.

There's a reason for that — and I want to help you understand it.

I'm Keeley Taverner, a qualified, trained psychotherapist.

Not a scorned coach jumping on a trend.

This is what I've done for 15 years.

These all-consuming people drain every bit of your energy.

And there is a new life waiting for you on the other side.

✂️ Why women cut their hair when everything falls apart — and what it really means.

It happens after heartbreak. After loss. After surviving something hard.

A woman sits down, picks up the scissors, and cuts.
It's not just about hair. It's never just about hair.

Across cultures and throughout history, cutting hair has symbolised mourning, liberation, transformation, and the shedding of an old identity.

It's a physical act that processes something deeply emotional — a way of saying that version of me is gone now.

I made a video exploring the psychology and symbolism behind this powerful ritual, and why so many of us are drawn to it in our most vulnerable moments.

Have you ever cut your hair after something significant happened?

I'd love to hear your story in the comments. 👇

The Jamaican sliders case isn't just about drugs - it's about the PATTERN. 🚨

Two young girls allegedly groomed to transport drugs.

But here's what we need to talk about: the goodie bags manipulators give you at the start.

The favours.

The "generosity."

The investments they make in you.

Because when you finally say NO?

That's when the sanctions kick in.

The guilt trips.

The reminders of everything they've "done for you."

The manipulation playbook opens up. This is how coercive control works - whether it's trafficking, narcissistic abuse, or toxic relationships.

They create a debt you never agreed to pay. You don't owe anyone your freedom, your safety, or your soul - no matter what they gave you.

Our Story

Are you going around in vicious circles and repeating unhelpful patterns? Do you want more out of life, but don’t know the way forward? Do you give way more than you get and people keep taking your kindness for weakness? Do you struggle to say no and find that feelings of guilt always get the best of you?

If you’re ready to make a change, Key for Change is here for you.

If life’s getting the best of you and the way forward is unclear then welcome, Key for Change is here for you. We are a diverse team of experienced, qualified helping professionals in private practice. We have extensive experience in both the public and corporate sector and together, we bring a broad range of expertise to best help you overcome and confront life’s challenges.

We understand that not everyone feels comfortable going to their Doctors or maybe you’re someone that’s had an unhelpful experience that’s resulted in you seeking alternative support. You may also believe that medication doesn’t hold all the answers and you’re not prepared to wait months for just six sessions of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT). Here at Key for Change we understand and appreciate that people want a different approach and are sensitive to a growing need for a different way. Of course, labels and diagnosis have its place but is not beneficial for everyone.
