We believe we offer the most complete service in our area, from helping you plan your own funeral and set up a fully guaranteed funeral plan, right through to offering a free Bereavement Support Group. We offer a full range of funerals, from simple cremations, (often referred to as Direct Cremations, which are low cost funerals, with no mourners attending) through to a complete funeral service, with many different options in between, all carried out at the highest standards. Through our membership of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) we can assist your family in the event of your loved one passing away, either anywhere in the UK, or even further afield. As members of both NAFD and SAIF, we can ensure you receive the standards you expect and deserve. We follow the profession's leading Code of Practice, and we are regularly inspected. As well as holding the diploma in funeral directing, David Bray is also a member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors.

Frances Best of Blisland (formerly Boscundle), passed away peacefully on 24th January 2026, aged 94 years. Much loved mother of Joanna and Lisa, and proud nan to Marcus, Alexander, Alfie and Louie.
A celebration of Frances’ life will be held at Blisland Village Hall on Saturday 14th March 2026 from 11.00 am – 2.00 pm for family and friends. Please dress to celebrate a life well lived.

Funeral service at Lanivet Parish Church on Friday 27th February at 11.00 am, followed by a private family interment. For those that can, the family requests you to wear some Cornish tartan.

Passed away after a brief illness on Sunday 8th February 2026, Pam, aged 97 years of St Merryn. Loved wife of the late John Blazdell, much loved mother to Sarah & George, loved grandma to Matt & Olivia, Nick & Nicki, Tom & Megan, and Tamara & Matthew, great grandma to Lucas, Mason, Lila, Sonny, Cleo and Sayla and amazing and special friend to Sheila and Cooper.
As per Pam’s wishes a private cremation will take place followed by interment at St Merryn on Tuesday 24th February.
A Memorial Afternoon Tea is being held on Saturday 21st February from 3.00 pm at Pam's home in St Merryn.
