Advinia Healthcare is proud to celebrate Debbie Farrah, who has been awarded a Heroes of Happiness Award following a nomination from the Home Manager at West Ridings Care Home. Debbie was described as “fantastic” and someone who is “truly making a difference to the lives of residents.”

The Heroes of Happiness Award is part of Advinia’s B Happie framework, which focuses on creating environments where residents feel Safe, Connected, and Relaxed, and colleagues feel Recognised, Fulfilled, and Purposeful. The award recognises colleagues who go above and beyond to create meaningful, positive experiences for residents and to support their teams in delivering exceptional care.

Over recent months, Debbie has truly stepped up, providing invaluable training, guidance, and hands-on support to teams at West Ridings. Her commitment has helped raise standards, build confidence, and strengthen the overall quality of care. Debbie’s passion and positive influence are clearly felt throughout the home, making a real difference to both resident experience and team morale.

Mark Dale, Head of Hospitality, said:
“Debbie’s dedication and willingness to step in and support her teams has been outstanding. She consistently leads by example and truly embodies everything the Heroes of Happiness Award stands for.”

Debbie’s recognition highlights the power of teamwork, leadership, and compassion in creating happy, supportive care environments. Her efforts reflect the very heart of the B Happie ethos, ensuring that every resident and colleague feels valued, supported, and proud to be part of their home.

Thank you, Debbie, and congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, a true Hero of Happiness!

Yesterday we were invited to Outwood Grange Academy for the second year running, we were collected by a lovely and helpful driver in a school mini bus, and helped in to the School where we enjoyed Christmas dinner and drinks all served by the pupils, followed by amazing entertainment, including the school choir and musical instrument solos. The afternoon was finished off with a game of bingo and gifts for our residents. We all had a fantastic afternoon and can't wait for next year. Thank you to everyone involved.

Our Story

In our home each resident has an individual care plan designed to give them the best support possible. Our highly-trained team ensure residents have as much independence as possible, while getting the care they require.

We focus on dignity and quality of life in a warm and friendly environment. For each resident we create a Map of Life that details their experiences, likes and dislikes as well as their specific needs. This helps us tailor their care to suit them.

Our care assistants and registered nurses are available round the clock to help residents and give their loved ones peace of mind.
