Whispers of the WILD is a monthly talking circle held on the last Tuesday of the month.

A gentle, facilitated space to gather, reflect, and share whatever is alive for you.

Guided by the wisdom of nature and the turning of the Wheel of the Year, each circle includes reflection, a seasonal activity or craft, and a guided journal with prompts and meditation.

Open to anyone over 18.
You are welcome exactly as you are.

This month we will be Emerging- reflecting on what we have learnt over the darker winter months and considering what seeds we would like to sow for the coming months.

Sharing a message a client sent me post-session this week. Due to their current circumstances we've had to move our sessions indoors for a few weeks; but when i arrived, things seems heavy. There was an atmosphere in the house and they became upset with current circumstances.

I allowed them space to talk, offload and ponder over things; but the energy felt stagnant. I suggested getting into the garden, for some "fresh" air, if nothing else. Within minutes that energy shifted, what had been heavy and stagnant began to move; we breathed, deeply and fully. We noticed signs of spring and with it a new curiosity for the current situation and ways forward began to sprout, slowly and calmly as they moved out of being in the same space and ruminating to one of possibilities. We didnt make big shifts in the session, we didnt need to, but nature helped to hold us and support us to move forward. πŸ™‚πŸŒ³

Ok not quite, I'm ok with them sometimes like:

1) hearing from my best mate on the other side of the world; time zones don't always align, it's like she's here & I get insight into her mind right then
2) you need help processing something & after a short ramble you've probably solved the issue & don't need my thoughts on it
3) you're driving & running late to meet me; that said, I've no idea how to voice note & drive. If we're meeting I'm probably driving too & can't listen (well i could if i set up the tech, but its about safety right?)- my car has hands free, I expect yours does too, ring me.
4) i signed up to a coaching group & this is part of the deal, I expect it & clear space to listen carefully

Otherwise;
1) if you've left more than 3 voice notes, that could've been a quick call
2) if you need me to read, process & act on the information or remember it, text me; I can process that quicker. It's easier to flick back to a message see what it's about & respond, rather than listening to 4 minutes of ramble 17 times to get to the point & remember what I'm meant to do
3) if it's about our plans to meet up, see above, or call me

Rant over-call me, maybe?πŸ™‚πŸŒ³

Hello!
Thought I better introduce myself and say hi! again as theres quite a few new people come to join me!

I'm Zoe, occupational and nature therapist, gardener, adventurer and crazy cat lady!

I work with people who struggle to function in ways that are expected of them β€” often because they’re neurodivergent, anxious, burnt out, or healing from life changing surgery/conditions. I assess where someone is at, then gently support them to use nature to regulate their nervous system, rebuild confidence, and create daily routines that actually fit their life, rather than forcing themselves into systems that don’t.

I offer:
-1:1 therapy; if you're struggling with daily tasks (cooking, cleaning, planning your day or getting out the house) and are feeling increasingly overwhelmed, i help you unpick these & support you with practical strategies to make a life that works for you

-Functional assessments: a full assessment of your daily life & recommendations to move forward- this can include providing support for PIP assessments

-Vocational assessments & rehabilitation: for managers & HR folk who are concerned about the wellbeing of their staff & want to understand their needs to support them to return to work in a supported way, at an appropriate time.

-Team Wellbeing events; Nature-based Team Wellbeing Days provide a supportive, informal space for teams to reduce stress, regulate their nervous systems, and strengthen connection through therapeutic, nature-based activities.

-Groups: a variety of group sessions including supporting those on sick/returning to work/navigating life changes as well as talking circles and pop up events.

-Netwalking: monthly netwalks around wakefield to encourage you to away from your desk and into nature to invite calm, make deeper connections with other local business owners & spark creativity!

See you in nature soon! πŸ˜€πŸŒ³
