Sue sadly passed away in Pinderfields Hospital on the 25th January, aged 73 years. The beloved wife of Martin, a mum, grandma, sister, auntie and friend to many. A service in celebration of Sue’s life will take place on Thursday 26th February, 11am at Pontefract Crematorium. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made towards Cancer Research UK, a box will be provided at the service. After the service, all are welcome to the Kirkland’s Hotel, Leeds Road, Outwood. The family have also requested people to wear baby or cornflour blue clothing in memory of Sue.

Connie, of Stanley, passed away peacefully on 9th December, aged 93 years. A beloved Wife of the late Ken, dearly loved Mum of the late Denise, also a loving Grandma to Gemma and Steven.
The funeral will take place at St Peters Church Centre, Stanley on Wednesday December 31st at 11.45am, followed by interment in Stanley Cemetery. Family flowers only please, but donations may be made to the Dogs Trust for which a box will be provided at the service.

We’re pleased to announce the return of Light a Candle this Christmas!

Taking part in this Christmas’s Light a Candle gives you the opportunity to create online memorials throughout the festive period.

Christmas is a special time to celebrate with family and friends, and our virtual candles are a thoughtful way to pay tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us.

We'll be sharing virtual candles on our page between 15 and 21 December. There's no cost for you or your family to get involved and create an online memorial.

Judith sadly passed away at home on Monday 1st December aged 70 years. The much loved wife of the late Harry and a dearly cherished mother of Cheryl, mother in law of Richard, adored nina's and a great friend to many.
A celebration of Judith's life will take place at 1:20pm on Tuesday 23rd December at Wakefield Crematorium.

Stephen sadly passed away in Pinderfields Hospital on 21st November, aged 54 years. Much loved partner to Diane, father, grandad, brother and a friend who will be greatly missed by all.
A service to celebrate Stephen’s life will take place on Monday 22nd December at Wakefield Crematorium at 12.40pm. All are welcome to join the family after the service to continue to share memories of Stephen at the Holmfield Arms.
Donations in memory of Stephen will be greatfully received for Gate C, Ward 20 at Pinderfields Hospital, a box will be provided at the service.

Barrie of Outwood, passed away in Pinderfields Hospital on the 28th October aged 87 years. The beloved husband of Sandra, loving dad to Colin, Dean, Shaun, Sonja and a devoted grandpa and great grandpa.

A service to celebrate the life of Barrie will take place at Wakefield Crematorium on November 20th at 2pm. Donations in memory of Barrie will be gratefully received for the Wakefield Hospice, a box will be provided at the service. After the service, everyone is welcome to join the family to continue to share memories of Barrie at the the Kirkland's Hotel, Outwood.
