Barrie Richard Largent
13th November 1937 – 28th October 2025

Barrie of Outwood, passed away in Pinderfields Hospital on the 28th October aged 87 years. The beloved husband of Sandra, loving dad to Colin, Dean, Shaun, Sonja and a devoted grandpa and great grandpa.

A service to celebrate the life of Barrie will take place at Wakefield Crematorium on November 20th at 2pm. Donations in memory of Barrie will be gratefully received for the Wakefield Hospice, a box will be provided at the service. After the service, everyone is welcome to join the family to continue to share memories of Barrie at the the Kirkland's Hotel, Outwood.

4th April 1951 – 7th October 2025

Anne of Outwood, passed away in Wakefield Hospice on 7th October aged 74 years. A much loved mum, grandma and great grandma.
A service in celebration of Anne’s life will be held on Wednesday 29th October at Arthur Bell Funeral Directors chapel of rest at 1pm. Any donations in Anne’s memory will be greatly received for Wakefield Hospice, a box will be provided at the service.

6th December 1956 – 19th October 2025

Stevie (Wonder) of Outwood, passed away in hospital after a short illness aged 68 years. He was a dearly loved son, dad grandad and great grandad.
A funeral service will take place at 12.40pm on Wednesday 5th November at Wakefield Crematorium. Flowers or donations if desired are to Wakefield Hospice for which a box will be provided at the service.

Joan Talbot
6th May 1935 – 3rd October 2025

On October 3rd Joan passed away in hospital aged 90 years. The beloved wife of the late Dennis, dearly loved Mum of Carol and Ian, much loved Nanna of Claire and Ryan and loving Great Grandma to Joshua and Olivia.
A funeral service will take place on Monday October 27th at St Peters Church Centre, Stanley at 10.15am followed by a private cremation. Family flowers only please donations in lieu to Wakefield Hospice and St Peters Church Funds for which a plate will be provided.

Doreen O' Keefe (nee Hodson)
23rd November 1933 - 8th October 2025
Doreen passed away peacefully at Carr Gate Nursing Home after a short illness, aged 91 years.
The much loved wife of the late Anthony for 58 years. Also a dear sister of the late Joseph and Ronald and sister in law of Elsie and the late Marion. And a special aunt of Andrew, Denise and Stephen.
A funeral service will be held at 11:20am on Thursday 13th November at Wakefield Crematorium. Family flowers only please, however donations would be gratefully recevied for The Dogs Trust.

7th February 1936 - 3rd October 2025

On October 3rd, Pat peacefully passed away aged 89 years. Pat of Stanley, was the beloved wife of the late Ralph.
A funeral service will take place at 12.40pm on Thursday October 23rd at Wakefield Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to The British Heart Foundation and Alzheimer’s Society for which a box will be provided at the service.

Julie Butler
2nd January 1970 - 17th September 2025

Julie sadly passed away on Wednesday 17th September aged 55 years. She leaves behind her loving husband Robert, her dear daughters Deanna and Hayley and her grandaughter Willow.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00pm on Monday 6th October at Arthur Bell Chapel of Rest on Lake Lock Road, Stanley. This will be followed by interment at Outwood Cemetery at 1:00pm. Family and friends are welcome to continue celebrating Julie's life at Capri Newmillerdam after the service.

Julie's family would like to thank everyone for their kind words of sympathy at this sad time.

Brian Douglas Walshaw
17th November 1945 - 28th August 2025

Brian passed away peacefully on 28th August in Pinderfields Hospital aged 79 years. He leaves behind his loving wife Pauline and his dear son David. He will also be greatly missed by David's partner Sharon and her children.
A funeral service will take place at 2:00pm on Friday 3rd October at Wakefield Crematorium. Everyone will be welcome to continue celebrating Brian's life at The Holmfield Arms after the service.

Sadly passed away aged 89 on the 15th September 2025 at home. Much loved husband to Ann, father to Julie and Samantha and grandad to Ryan and Charlotte.

A funeral Service will take place at Arthur Bell Chapel of Rest on Lake Lock Road Stanley, Wakefield, followed by interment in Stanley Cemetry on 8th October 2025 at 12.15pm. Followed by a celebration and sharing of memories of Derek's life at The Travellers Inn, Stanley.

Family flowers welcome. Donations to the British Heart Foundation may be given at the service.

Mary sadly passed away peacefully on Wednesday 3rd September aged 88 years. The beloved wife of the late Des and much loved mum of the late Hayley. Also a dear nana to Danielle and great nana to Emme, Ellie & Koa.

A funeral service will take place at Arthur Bell Chapel of Rest on Lake Lock Road followed by interment in Stanley Cemetery.

Everyone is welcome to continue to celebrate Mary's life after the service at The Traveller's, Stanley.

Donations in lieu of flowers would be gratefully recevied for Breast Cancer Now. A box will be provided at the service.

Betty formerly of Stanley passed away in Deangate Care Home, Mapplewell on August 24th, aged 91 years.

A loving mum of Gary and mum in law of Annie, grandmother of Lisa, Peter and Katie, great grandmother of Buddy, Charlotte, Jack and Ivy. She is now back with her much loved late husband Ken and son Glenn.

The funeral service will take place on Wednesday September 17th at Wakefield Crematorium at 11.20am. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu will be given to Deangate Care Home to go towards future trips or events for the residents.
