One of the leading causes of dark circles under the eyes is volume loss which leads to sunken eyes and thinner skin, magnifying the appearance of dark circles 👁️⁠

When you look at this patient’s before photo on the top, you can see a slight under eye groove at the junction of the eyelid and cheek and a darkening of the skin in this area. ⁠

The skin in our under-eye area is the thinnest skin on the body and we can in fact “see” into it for a mm or so, making it possible to see the underlying veins and vasculature.⁠

By placing @‌vivacylab.uk Stylage dermal filler beneath this point and to the surrounding area, it assists in plumping up the skin and supporting the tear trough to give the smoother, even-toned under-eye appearance that you can see on the bottom photo.⁠

We’re thrilled to welcome Shima, the newest member of our clinic team. Every Wednesday, she will be seeing patients for injectable appointments, starting Wednesday, December 3rd.

Shima is an Independent Pharmacist Prescriber and experienced Aesthetic Practitioner with over 5 years specializing in injectables and advanced skin treatments. She is passionate about natural, evidence based results and providing personalised care that prioritises safety and confidence.

Outside the clinic, Shima enjoys long walks, good coffee, and relaxing with a crime series.
