Sitting down on the sand is Malaika, a 10-year-old girl from Kenya. She is among a few children in this region who cannot attend school due to poverty.

When Malaika received her gift-filled shoebox, she was so happy to find books, pens, and other school items inside. She could not hide her excitement, shouting with joy, “Jesus!” 🙌

Crafty Halloween kind of day! The little ones really enjoyed going out to pick their pumpkin and then coming back to carve them into not so spooky faces. Then we made witchy cards by painting our hands and using tissue paper to decorate the hat and hair.
We then made pumpkin pictures using apples to stamp on to the paper.🎃🧙🎃🧙

What a lovely afternoon stroll around newmiller Dam with this little whirlwind . Francesca has only been with me since September and has settled in really well bringing lots of cuddles and bags of sass and energy. She definitely keeps me on my toes with hiding things around the setting.

I will be giving this a huge push over the next couple of weeks. If anyone is wanting to do a shoe box then I’m more than happy to collect them or you could donate and I’ll fill the box for you . Every child deserves a gift . Thank you everyone.

Our little gang are participating in the national shoe box appeal and are urging anyone who wants to get involved then please contact me to arrange either collection or to drop off at our setting.i have also got a couple of schools and a football team involved so hopefully with everyone getting involved and donating the children will have a great Christmas .
