We’ve been delighted to be involved in Wakefield’s Calico Dress - Weaving Stories in Wakefield (a Spectrum People initiative).

Over the last month, individuals and groups from across the district have signed up to become Story Weavers.

The project has been gathering stories (personal, shared, remembered, imagined, big or small) from across the district. Over time these individual patches will be brought together by The Gathering Circle to form Wakefield's Calico Dress.

It’s been great to be involved and see the project gathering momentum.

For more information, please contact spectrumpeople@spectrum-cic.nhs.uk

Do you help to care for, or support, someone who has dementia and is living at home?
The Royal School of Needlework in partnership with Hope for Home are looking for carers to participate in a free embroidery project, 'Fragile Threads'.
'Fragile Threads’ aim is to connect people through shared stories, stitching meaning into everyday life, and crafting space to reflect, respond and remember, focusing on the natural world.
