Walberton Place Care Home Walberton Place is a lovely home in a peaceful and calm setting, with some great facilities.

Walberton Place Care Home is located in the village of Walberton, close to Arundel and Chichester. The home has eighty en-suite bedrooms, a cinema room, a pub, bistro cafe and a hair salon. The wellbeing team support people to enjoy their hobbies and interests. The highest standards of residential and dementia care are delivered with dignity, kindness and compassion. Residents enjoy a varied home cooke menu and hospitality services thanks to our dedicated chef and front of house team.

We realise family time is important to our residents, and at Walberton Place Care Home we do not have visiting hours, and we accommodate every day enjoyable quality time. For some it could be a private cinema experience, coffee & snacks in our cafe or walking in our grounds. Here is the lovely Helen who comes in most days to visit her brother Derek.
For us it is their home, we work there.

Our home manager Katie & customer relations manager Vanessa stopped by Eastergate Village Hall to see the lovely Nina today, and dropped off bags of food and some homemade cupcakes from our kitchen earlier. They hold a food bank every 2nd and last Friday of each month. With more people relying on foodbanks, we feel is it essential to support these local community support groups. The food was kindly donated throughout October from members of our community and residents family.

🌺 Remembrance Day Introducing Our War Babies 🌺

Shirley who was living in Birmingham, her father was a fire warden & kept them all safe when the bombs were dropped by hiding her and her family under the stairs.

Bun was just 20 years old, and remembers having to walk across open fields and would occasionally get aircraft shooting at them and she, her brothers & sisters had to dive into gorse bushes for cover. A white sheep dog always escorted them home from school and wouldn't leave them until safely home and then go back to the village on his own.

Molly was 10 when the war started, and lived in central London with sirens going off, her family had to run down three flights of stairs to hide under the table until the bombings stopped. At 15 she met Wolly her husband at a boxing party, he was sent off to fight In the trenches at Normandy.

All of these lovely ladies went on to have enriched and fulfilled lives, thanks to those that served.

So lest we forget those that gave their life so all of us could have ours 🙏

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming more new residents to Walberton. Elite Medical and Ambulance Services dropped off both a new resident, then later on safely dropped off one our residents following a trip to the hospital.
Our Home Manager Katie was delighted to talk with them about dementia, and made hot drinks and snacks for them to take with them.

This afternoon we were delighted to welcome local historian Belinda, who gave a fantastic talk on Walberton through the ages in our garden cafe. From the stone age, through to modern day local residents from Walberton, and surrounding villages thoroughly enjoyed hearing everything that she had to say. A fantastic turn out which showed us yet again how strong our local community are. 🌟✨️
