5 habits to avoid for a healthier heart ❤️

Looking after your heart is one of the biggest gifts you can give yourself. These are the habits I see most often that quietly put your heart under stress. Small changes really do go a long way.

1. Don’t ignore high blood pressure.
It is silent and often has no symptoms. Regular checks matter and early action makes a huge difference.

2. Don’t rely on ultra processed food.
They taste good in the moment but they inflame your body, increase your risk and leave you with low energy. Whole foods will always love you back.

3. Don’t skip movement.
You do not need to smash a workout every day but staying sedentary is one of the biggest risks. Even a daily walk supports heart health.

4. Don’t let stress build up.
Chronic stress raises inflammation blood pressure and cravings. Find something daily that lets your shoulders drop and your breathing slow.

5. Don’t underestimate sleep.
Poor sleep increases your risk more than people realise. Protecting your bedtime is one of the simplest forms of self care.

Your heart is working for you every second. Give it what it needs so you can feel strong energised and here for a long time.

Made up to see Ange get her first handstands in since her shoulder surgery.

We’ve done so much rehab and prep to get her back to this point. I told her she could try just one, but she said it felt good and wanted another. After the second one, I told her that was definitely enough 🤣

So happy for you, Ange. Onwards and upwards from here.

About Me

I began my own yoga journey in 2012. I have always had a passion for fitness and it was always my dream to work in the fitness industry. I have always enjoyed a wide variety of sports but nothing else compared to yoga for me. Yoga changed my life!

After practicing yoga for years, I wanted to share the many benefits of yoga with others, with this in mind, I decided to take the IYN approved 200 hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training course at Studio One in Standish.

Wanting to know more, I signed up and completed my 40 hour Yin Yoga teacher training course at The Yoga Bank in Widnes.

I have Attended lots of yoga workshops over the years and have been very lucky to have been guided by well known teachers including Taylor Harkness, Jason Crandell, Michelle Almond, Jackie Quayle, and Kirsty Gallagher.
