SIMPLE SEND-OFFS HOLD PRICES FOR A RECORD 7th YEAR RUNNING
We are pleased to announce we will not be increasing the cost of our services for the next twelve months. In April each year the council amend the cremation fees at Landican so most funeral directors will increase their prices to reflect this change. Thankfully, Simple Send-offs are still able to hold our prices for a record seventh year running! A Direct Cremation costs just £1,595.00 whilst a Simple Cremation is still only £1,795.00. The government temporarily removed the need for a second doctor’s certificate during the pandemic so we have been able to reduce all our advertised prices by a further £100 whilst this measure remains in place.
Funeral prices continue to rise year on year so we are incredibly proud that we have reversed this trend in-line with our original ethos to provide the best-value funeral service to our local community.”

Simple Send-offs goes ECO!
We regularly receive requests for cardboard coffins but contrary to popular belief, they are actually more expensive than the coffins which are included in our three funeral options!
So, with this in mind, we are pleased to announce that we have been able to source an environmentally friendly alternative to the cardboard coffin, and the best news is that it will not impact on our current costs!
The new coffins are made from sustainably sourced board which is approved by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). They are varnish and plastic free, with a cotton lining and are presented with four wooden handles.
The choice of a traditional or eco-coffin is yours but either way we can guarantee you will receive a first-class, personal service with Simple Send-offs. Although its very clear that the coronavirus is still affecting so many people, Simple Send-offs remain committed to helping families no matter what their needs. Many are choosing to have a Direct Cremation or Simple Cremation but we can also help you to arrange a traditional funeral within the limits of the current restrictions (the main one being that only 30 mourners are allowed to attend). It’s very difficult for any family who is in the heart-breaking position of having to arrange a funeral during this horrible time. Not only do they have to deal with the loss of their loved one, they also have to pick and choose who they ask to attend the funeral, wear a mask and then they can’t even sit with their relatives and friends in the chapel unless they live with them! Times are really, really hard but at Simple Send-offs we do our utmost to provide a personal service which goes a long way to help to alleviate as much of the extra stress and financial worry that this pandemic brings with it.

Latest update from Landican Crematorium and Cemetery is that from Monday 6th July the number of mourners permitted to attend funerals has now been increased from 15 to 30. Everyone still needs to continue to socially distance as much as possible though!

Simple Send-offs is a low-cost funeral service providing compassionate and personal support to families at the most vulnerable times in their lives.
Tom and I established Simple Send-offs early in 2016 with a cost of £1,795.00 for a fully-inclusive simple cremation on the Wirral; now in our fourth year of business the price remains £1,795.00 and we have recently reduced the fee for a Direct Cremation to £1,595.00 which is unprecedented in this industry! We aim to keep these low-cost prices for as long as we can, providing the local community with an option to choose a funeral that won’t cost the earth!
Simple Send-offs original objective was to provide a simple cremation service but as the company’s reputation continues to escalate we have now decided to include burials. The fee for a burial can differ quite a lot, depending on the individual requirements but Simple Send-offs can still guarantee that the fee you pay will be substantially less than any other funeral provider.
We appreciate the subject of funerals is a difficult one but we encourage people to discuss their requirements with their loved ones. Nevertheless, we do everything we can to help ease the added pressures of arranging a funeral and we try to remove as much of the stress as possible.
We have stripped away a lot of the normal overheads making it possible to offer the same service as any other funeral director but for a fraction of the cost. This however, doesn’t mean that our service is below standard or any less than you would expect from a traditional funeral provider, on the contrary all the families who have asked us to help them have been extremely happy with the service they have received. We don’t have a high-street presence so instead we visit you in the comfort of your home to make all the arrangements. Our premises are based in Wallasey but we cover the whole of Wirral and its surrounding area. Everything you need for a simple cremation is included in the £1,795, from the collection and care of the deceased to the cremation itself. We hand deliver the ashes to you in an urn or scatter tube (this is also included in the cost) or we can arrange for them to be scattered on the Garden of Remembrance if you prefer. There are no ‘hidden extras’ unless you choose to include any additional services.
With our support, a great number of our families are happy to say a few words themselves so the provision of a minister or funeral celebrant is not included in the cost of the simple cremation. We can however, arrange for a minister or celebrant if you prefer; an additional cost of £200.00 for their fee would be payable but even then, the cremation would still only cost £1,995.00
Simple Send-offs also offer prepayment plans for simple cremations which cost £2,295 and are fully guaranteed. This means there will be nothing further to pay when the time arrives (unless additional services are required by the family at the time). The option to pay by instalments of up to 5 years is available too.
