Hello Dear Yoga Friends
I’m here to give you some ‘sweet and not so sweet news’
The sweet- Yoga You is 15 on the 30 October 2025.
The not so sweet - After teaching yoga for 28 years and running Yoga You Sanctuary for the last 15 of those years it is for many reasons time for me to retire and make a change.
This is not early retirement as I’m officially an OAP from September 2025 and I thank my yoga practice and community for keeping me steady, fit and well for so long and although this decision is not easy, it is the right decision for me.
In the near future I will hopefully be moving to a new home in Hoylake and it is also my intention to spend more time with my dear old mum Betty in her latter years .
Also there are two surgeries I need to face next year, not life threatening but nonetheless I feel I need to create space for myself (something I don’t do very much of and even after my husband Dave’s passing in 2021 I was only away from teaching for a month) .
Yoga Classes will continue until the end of November 2025 , the last Pure Nidra on the 11 November 2025 and the last Breathe To Heal session on 4 December 2025.
So , I intend to retire but not give up! I will sell the studio property in the New Year and spend @ a year sorting myself out and getting settled before recommencing with online teaching from my new home.
In the meantime I will do my best to provide past Vimeo recordings for those who want them and provide a list in due course of my trusted yoga teacher friends who I can refer you to and fingers crossed that perhaps another yoga teacher may take up the reins where I leave off at YYS .
It has been quite a journey since I began yoga teaching in 1998 and I can only thank all you beautiful souls from the bottom of my heart who have accompanied me for the whole trip and those who have joined along the way ever since.
Our Christmas meal in December 2025 will now double up as my leaving celebration as well and a chance for us to reminisce on all our wonderful yoga experiences we have shared.
With All My Love and Deepest Gratitude To Each and Everyone Of You .🙏🏻
Namaste
Ann xx
