Today is Carers Rights Day

Unpaid Carers play a vital role in Wirral – supporting family members, friends and neighbours with health, care and everyday needs.

We want to make sure Carers’ voices are heard and that local services understand the pressures Carers face.

We’ve published a short update about the day and why it matters locally.

In recognition of Carer’s Rights Day, Healthwatch Wirral has designed a survey for unpaid carers to find out what is important to them in terms of healthcare and what else they may like information on. This survey is open to ALL unpaid carers in Wirral until midday 19th December 2025.

Our next BRIDGE Forum is just around the corner…

The Bridge Forum is a regular online meeting hosted by Healthwatch Wirral. It brings together health, care and community organisations to share updates, highlight local priorities and work together on improving services for Wirral residents.

This month’s discussion will take place on Wednesday 12th November from 11am- 12.30pm on MS Teams and includes updates from:

• NHS Breast Screening Service
• Alzheimer’s Society
• Wirral Public Health Team
• Wirral Carers Alliance

Speakers will share information on local screening and prevention programmes, support for people affected by dementia, updates on winter vaccines, and current community engagement work across Wirral.

Bridge Forum helps local partners share insight, spot gaps and connect ideas that lead to better care and support for people in Wirral.

Free and online – everyone working in health, care or the community sector is welcome.
