🄦DIY GREENS POWDER - Results are in!!

This one was fun to do and so straight forward.Ā  I loved how easy it is to adjust the ingredients to suit your own tastebuds!!Ā  This means I have been able to make it far less sweet, and the sweetness that I add comes from ingredients that I choose!

The saving is significant - yes you have to fork out for the numerous different powders initially but, per gram, the overall saving was a whopping 73%Ā  - and I had bought the organic versions!Ā 

This is a subscription that I cancelled immediately and will make my own from now onšŸ’š.Ā 

I really hope someone out there might feel motivated to try making their own too!

The ingredients I used were all powders:

1 part:

Mango powder (not sweet - very citrusy)
Apple fibre
Spirulina
Chlorella
Moringa
BroccoliĀ 
Wheatgrass
Ashwagandha
Maca
Beetroot Juice

2 part:
Freeze dried pineapple
Lacuma

1/2 part
Matcha

for extra sweetness:

Inulin (prebiotic) - max 5g per day - start gently

Alternative greens could include : Alfalfa, Kale, Spinach, Barley Grass.Ā  And extra fruit powder could be Kiwi, passion fruit, raspberry, lemon peel.

If you have one, you could pop one of the food standard silicone packs into the container to prevent moisture.

NOTE: this is a supplement and I don't use it to replace my daily portions of veg!!!
PS. Remember to wipe your mouth after - noticed my green smile!!

Can I make my own Greens Powder??

Will it taste as good as my favourite powder that I have on subscription?

And importantly will it be cheaper?

I have chosen all organic powders and some natural sweeteners that I'll have control over.

I find the only greens too tasteless and the fruit flavoured ones too sweet.

Anyone else feel the same?

Would you be motivated to make your own if it was cost effective and happier knowing it was all organic?

I'd love to know, otherwise perhaps I'm just a little obsessed and enjoying the process finding out 🤣🤣

It's Acupuncture awareness week!! Some people still assume acupuncture is all about ā€œalternative medicineā€ or "woo woo" vibes.

So, what is it? Regulation plays a huge part.

šŸ¤Calmer nervous system.
šŸ¤Better sleep.
šŸ¤Steadier hormones.
šŸ¤Less stress playing havoc with your body.

Yes, sometimes my clients walk out saying, ā€œThat felt magical.ā€
But mostly they walk out saying, ā€œI feel so calm.ā€

What I love about Acupuncture is the way it nudges your body out of overdrive and gradually back into balance - and when you’re trying to conceive, juggling stress, or just holding life together, that balance is everything.

✨YAY!!! Some courses change the way you think. This one also changed the way I listenā¤ļø

It wasn’t just another qualification - it was a deep dive into fertility, women’s health and the power of truly listening.Ā 

I studied alongside a phenomenal group of women and Liadh’s passion, energy and expertise made the whole experience unforgettableĀ .co.uk

It’s elevated the way I support my clients and taken my acupuncture practice to a new level. My work has never been just about the needles - support and guidance for what happens outside the treatment room is just as important to me when I work with women and couples (yes acu for men's fertility is just as important!)

This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter - one that continues to blend heart, science and the art of listening to help more women feel understood, hopeful and in sync with their bodies.

I’ve officially entered my DIY health blends era - starting with my matcha fuel latteā¤ļø
(a creamy blend of matcha, oat, coconut and mushrooms, reminds me of maltesers!)

I was so confident, the ingredient list sounded doable... but....

I tried to recreate it… and honestly? It tasted awful. 🤢

Turns out, this drink is more than just a habit - it’s my hug in a mug.

I’d been questioning if it was really worth approx Ā£38 packet, but after tasting my homemade versions… the answer was clear.

Sometimes, listening to your body means recognising what genuinely feels good even if it costs a little more, at least the ingredients they use are clean.

The .fuel stays.Ā  šŸ’šĀ  (I do have some ideas for my next attempt, but I'll be using my own ingredients rather than trying to copy!)

For now, I move onto my next mission of tackling the GREENS and PROTEIN POWDER next - I have less of a personal love for these, so they just need to taste similar rather than identical!

DIY superblends!!!
ā¤ļø I’m challenging myself to recreate my favourite wellness blends - matcha latte, greens powder and protein powder.

Can I recreate any blends that still taste good and can be reproducable for both myself and my clients to make, at a fraction of the cost??? šŸ™

Because listening to your body also means being curious about what you’re putting in it. And my goodness there are some ultra processed versions out there.

(Also this industry can be bloody costly and we all need to save money!)

Watched the Victoria Beckham documentary last night.Ā  My goodness she works hard, what a high pressure environment and under constant judgement from others (and herself). And yes, the outfits and hair were on point.

What really touched me was that last scene.
David takes her outside and says, ā€œListen to the trees.ā€

Because honestly, most of us are running on noise - work, pressure, expectations, trying to get it all right.
And sometimes you just need the reminder to listenĀ - to the trees, to your body, to what’s actually going on inside.

šŸ¤That’s where calm creeps back in.
šŸ’šThat’s where healing starts

This is my mission in the work that I do, to help people cut through that noise, real fertility care starts with listening.

Please remember that you are not alone, it is OK to feel whatever emotion you are feeling, listen to that emotion and sit with it for a while.

And if you are supporting somebody who's going through a loss, don't worry about trying fix or solve anything - Just being there for whatever they need or listening will mean the world.

The losses are never forgotten.
