*30th March we will have a visit from the Animal Man 🌟
*31st and 2nd April the Easter Bunny will visit plus sensory and art and craft activities 🌟
*1st April we have a glow in the dark bubble show from the amazing Cosmic Faerie Face Painting, Bubbles & Balloons

All events are for Families to attend together 🌟

Check out Star Lights Wild Roots HAF!! 🌟

This is a 4 day holiday club ran from our very own allotment 🌟

Use forestry survival skills with out door cooking, light a fire, water purification and den building 🌟

We will also learn about bio diversity with pond dipping, and
discover the world of bugs! 🌟

Arts and crafts using natural resources for arts and crafts 🌟

We will be feeding the chickens and having a Easter egg hunt. 🥚 Maybe Easter bunny will pay us a visit 🐰 if we look hard enough !🌟

All children will be provided with lunch 🌟

Dress warm with suitable footwear 🌟

This holiday club is kindly funded by Walsall HAF team. The portal opens tomorrow. Use your unique HAF code to secure your place 🌟

Our SEND half term holiday club is now over 🌟

We ran small inclusive sessions for children aged 4 to 16 who enjoyed bubble shows Cosmic Faerie Face Painting, Bubbles & Balloons, sensory play and crafting. We even made pancakes which were delicious 😋

Children were also able to enjoy our sensory garden, in-between the rainy showers and sensory room 🌟

Today our students broke up for half term at our Alternative Education Provision. As it was the last day we made fresh smoothies then a trip to Ninja Warrior

We made tasty mango, strawberry and banana smoothies and fresh salad to add to their lunch 🌟

They are working hard on achieving their certifications for the acreditation course they are working on. Today the were being assessed on cutting/slicing skills on Life Skills cooking, which they were outstanding ✨

Our facility offer placements for young people age 8 to 16. We have ASDAN accreditation course in Coding and Design, English and Maths, PHSE, Lifeskills and cooking, gardening and growing, therputic art 🌟

Walsall Council have now agreed that eligible families can book two days holiday club. I have sent emails out to all the families that have booked on already to inform you of this and added the link for the HAF portal.🌟

🌟 16th February - Fully booked
🌟 17th February- Fully booked
🌟 18th February- 3 spaces available
🌟 19th February - 2 spaces available.

The portal closes on Sunday so be sure to secure your space🌟

We are running a FREE February half term SEND holiday club fully funded by Walsall Council through the HAF program 🌟

The dates are the 16th to the 19th February 10.00am to 14.00 pm 🌟

These sessions will be held in our venue at 25a Station Street, Walsall, WS2 9JZ 🌟

Activities included soft play, Sensory activities, access to the sensory room and garden and a bubble show by Cosmic Faerie Face Painting, Bubbles & Balloons 🌟

We have small groups meaning spaces are limited so book on to secure your space 🌟

As HAFproviders we were invited to an event to showcase all the good work of the HAF team and providers 🌟

We were accompanied by our young people that attend our Alternative Education Provision who have also attended the HAF activities we run 🌟

The young people were able to meet the Walsall Mayor and see the town hall 🌟

Tha HAF team provided an amazing buffet and a pancake stall which was really popular 🌟

A big thank you to Asda for showing our Alternative Education Provision around the store.

We were able to take a look behind the scenes how the store is run. From meeting the manager, store room staff, and the supermarket floor, they even had a go at scanning items.

The main thing our students took away from the tour was all the different job roles there are in a supermarket. The Lifeskills Challenge course our students complete supports them in considering future employment roles in different work places.

We hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year! 🌟

What a fun successful Walsall HAF we have had 🌟

We have offered 195 spaces to Walsall children over the Winter school holidays. 🌟

Santa was a VIP guest and enjoyed by all 🎅

The wonderful Cosmic Faerie Face Painting, Bubbles & Balloons provide fun with giant bubbles, Bubbles filled with smoke and face painting 🎨 She was a hit with our children and families 🌟

We launched our first Wild Roots program with out door activities 🐸

A trip to Ninja Warrior was a a popular choice with our young people 🌟

We also provided gaming, soft play and arts and crafts. 🌟

All children were provided with a meal as per the HAF program requirements 🌟

Thank you to Walsall HAF for funding all the activities provided and choosing Star Light as one of their providers 🌟
