Two activity packed days are ahead with all children receiving a FREE lunch and drinks 🧗‍♂️ ⚽

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and break. Just a quick reminder that our Wild Roots Walsall HAF is running tomorrow Saturday 27th for those that booked on 🌿

Someone will be waiting by the gate to book your child in. We are pond dipping, bug hunting, and feeding the chickens 🐔

We will also be making play dough using foraged natural items in the mud kitchen area🌿

Then to warm up we will have a packed lunch and hot chocolate and marshmallows 🌿

🌟Appreciation Post 🌟

Thank you Martin Bateman Asda for arranging a Christmas present donation point in Asda, Walsall. Thanks to all the people that donated gifts. 🎅

Asda also donated chocolate selection boxes meaning we were able to give all the children that attended our Christmas events a selection box from Santa 🎅

Christmas arrives at Star Lights Walsall HAF tomorrow Monday the 22nd 10.00am - 2.00pm 🌟

We have loads planned from gaming on the XBox, Playstation, Switch and VR 🎮

We will be making Christmas/friendship cards, decorating gingerbread biscuits and arts and crafts 🎨

There is soft play, games, basket and fuse ball. ⚽

And a visit from our VIP guest Santa's himself with a small gift.

All children have a FREE lunch, drinks and snacks 🌟

See you all tomorrow 🌟

What a way to spend the end of term on our Alternative Education Provision 🔥

We made wreaths and garlands from natural items, dried oranges, cones and acorns 🔥

We made bread from scratch, sharpened sticks to cook on the fire 🔥

Our skilled young people lit the fire using flints and wood to cook their lunch on 🔥

The techniques used to sharpen wood safely were taught by Roots To Fruit Midlands Ltd 🔥

Star Light Alternative Provision is now closed until the 5th January 2026 🌟

The school holiday club starts next week on the 22nd December 🌟

Asda St Matthews have kindly put a trolley in their entrance for donations such as toys for local children this Christmas 🎄

Please donate what you can to support local causes this winter when many families are struggling financially 🎄

Its quite easy to do. Just pick a toy on your way around as part of your shopping and donate it on your way out 🎄

Star Light CIC can then make sure they go to children helping make their Christmas a good one 🎄

Together we can make this work 🎅 🎄

Last Few Spaces on Wild Roots, Walsall HAF

27.12.25 is when we run our brand new Wild Roots program for HAF. It is held at Winterly Lane Allotment where you will be able to learn and take part in growing and planting. We also have a pond where you can go pond dipping and identify the wild life you find in the pond on our observation trays.🐸

Prefer bugs? Lets go bug hunting with all the equipment to safely find bugs that you can identify. 🐛 🐞

There are chickens that you can meet and feed. 🐔

Come and make crowns from foraged items, and make a den to take shelter. We will support you with a variety of skills used in forestry which are fun and educational.

Finally warm up with a creamy hot chocolates, marshmallows and a packed lunch. I am sure you will need it after such a busy day.

*if you can wear sensible shoes/wellies, coats and hats.

STAR LIGHTS WINTER FUN - WALSALL HAF ACTIVITIES🤩🤩

29.10.15- 10.00 to 14.00- Make sure you do not miss out on the last few spaces we have. Just think the time between Christmas and new year is a good time to continue the fun and come to see Cosmic Faerie Face Painting, Bubbles & Balloons. This lady is multi talented and blows gigantic smoke filled bubbles. She can even put you inside a bubble.🫧🎈

We also lots more fun activities with festive arts and craft, soft play, basket ball, axe throwing, Sensory zone, giant ball pool, sensory garden with mud kitchens and games.

All children will receive a meal, drink, and fruit.
