🎶Music speaks where words fail🎶
Our whole 2025 has been lead by the universal language. We asked residents and staff about what music spoke to them and why.
Gladys loves waltz and swing as she used to go dancing
Jo was part of her church choir and loves hymns, but also loved dancing to Glenn Miller
Kelly loves Diana Ross and the Supremes as they were catchy
Angie loves 50’s rock and roll as she wanted to learn to jive dance
Tracey loves Chaka Khan as her brother brought her a single of this
Gordon loves western as it reminds him of Rawhide on the TV
Naz loves Bhangra as it reminds her of time with her Auntie
Phil loves Madonna’s immaculate collection as he was gifted it on a recorded cassette.
Martin loves Englebert Humperdink as it reminds him of his mom
This is the tip of the iceberg for why music is so important for us. It’s communication, connection and creativity. Its identity, expression and speaks for us when our words fail.
With love from the new year to every one of you, listen to your favourite song tonight, and celebrate the new year with song and music.
