📖 A Morning of Memories & Reminiscing 📸

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and even a few happy tears as memories were brought back to life.

We’re thinking about starting something new at Millfield…

Millfield’s Listening Lounge
“A space to talk, reflect, and connect.”

This would be a weekly, informal gathering held in our care home, with refreshments provided. ☕
A welcoming space for families and loved ones of those living with dementia or physical health challenges.

The idea is simple — to create a relaxed and friendly environment where you can:

• Chat with others who have lived similar experiences
• Ask questions in a safe, supportive setting
• Share thoughts, worries, or simply listen
• Take a breather and enjoy some company
We know that healthcare terminology and processes can sometimes feel overwhelming or confusing.

As part of these sessions, we’d also like to occasionally invite guest speakers who can help explain things clearly, offer guidance, and answer questions — giving you straightforward information and reassurance.

And if you’d just like to pop in for a quiet cuppa, a breathing space, and a chat, you would be more than welcome 💛

Before we launch, we’d really value the views of our wider community.

🐴✨ A Surprise Afternoon with Lollypop & Mooming ✨🐴

What a truly special afternoon here at Millfield Rose Care Home! We were delighted to welcome two adorable Shetland ponies, Lollypop and Mooming, from Lollipop Pony Parties for a wonderful animal therapy session.🩷

There were smiles all around as residents enjoyed meeting, stroking and spending time with our gentle visitors. The joy, laughter and heartwarming moments shared made it such a fun and memorable experience for everyone. Thank you to Lollypop and Mooming for bringing so much happiness to our home! 🐴💕

🍕 A Week Full of Fun & Surprises 🐴

It’s been a busy and exciting week for us! Our group rolled up their sleeves and got creative in the kitchen, making their very own delicious pizzas from scratch. From choosing their toppings to tasting their tasty creations, everyone had a fantastic time.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, we were also treated to a special surprise visit from some lovely Lollipop Ponies! The smiles said it all — such a wonderful experience and a perfect way to top off a brilliant week.

🌸 A Special Pamper Day 🌸

Our lovely ladies had a wonderful time being pampered today! 💇‍♀️✨ They enjoyed a relaxing hair appointment with the fabulous hairdresser Julie, who worked her magic and left everyone feeling refreshed, confident, and smiling from ear to ear.
