We are heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of our beloved colleague Carol McKee, who passed away on 3rd January 2026 from a heart attack.

For 23 years Carol dedicated herself to looking after the eyecare needs of the Waltham Abbey community with amazing skill and compassion. She touched the lives of countless patients, many of whom continued coming back to the Abbey after moving away to see Carol and receive her care and we will all miss her dearly.

We will keep everyone updated as to our continuity of care plan, but for now we are committed to providing the same standard of excellent care that Carol was known for. Shane & Edward will endeavour to continue Carol’s wonderful legacy.
