𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗲 "𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀" 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 — little dots, cobwebs or specks drifting across their vision. They're usually harmless and caused by tiny fibres inside the eye.

However, it's important to know when floaters are not normal.

👉 Seek urgent attention if:
• You suddenly see lots more floaters
• You experience flashes of light
• Your vision becomes shadowed or blurry on one side
• You notice a "curtain" effect over your vision

These could be early signs of a retinal issue, and quick treatment makes all the difference.

A cataract is simply a clouding of the natural lens inside the eye — something that happens gradually for most people as part of the ageing process.

Common signs include:

Cataracts can sound worrying, but they're incredibly common — and treatment is one of the safest and most successful surgeries in the UK. Most people enjoy dramatically clearer vision afterwards.

The practice was established in... and has looked after the community’s eye care ever since. Having recently been taken on by new management, a rebranding exercise has taken place, but rest assured the same great quality remains, along with our lovely team members.

We very much look forward to the future and supporting our patients, the young and the not so young, with their visual needs and wants.
