🥳💖🎉 A Century of Memories! 🎂💖🥳

On 16th November 2025, we had the honour of celebrating Simon Noirette’s 100th birthday!
Our amazing Chef Julija prepared a beautiful cake to mark this incredible milestone, and the day was filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt moments.
Here’s to Simon – a true inspiration to us all! 💐

What a fantastic day yesterday celebrating Linda’s 76th birthday! 🎂💖
We kicked things off with a yummy buffet (because birthdays deserve extra plates!), then hit the shops for some shopping therapy and wandered around Staines enjoying the sights and laughs.
Linda was glowing all day, and we loved every moment of making her feel special.
We ended the day with delectable cake beautifully prepared by our lovely chef Julija.🛍️✨

🎬🍿It's Friday Movie Night at Adelaide House!🍿 🎥

At Adelaide House, we believe in creating moments that bring joy, comfort, and a sense of togetherness—and our recent Proper Movie Night was a perfect example of that spirit. Residents gathered in our cozy lounge, transformed into a mini cinema, complete with soft lighting, comfy seating, and a big screen ready to roll.

But what’s a movie night without a feast of food, snacks, and drinks? We went all out! There was a delicious spread of buttery popcorn, nachos with dips, mini-Tuna cupcakes, chips and even a cherry pie for the sweet tooth. And for drinks? we offered a selection of fizzy sodas, fruit juices with hint or Alcohol, and warm cups of tea, coffee and Hot chocolate for those who preferred a classic comfort.

The atmosphere was filled with laughter, chatter, and the shared excitement of watching a beloved film together(The Fugitive). It wasn’t just about the movie, it was about the experience of shared roller coaster emotions the movie offered, the community, and the joy of indulging in a proper night of entertainment and treats at the Heart of Adelaide House.

Events like these remind us how powerful simple pleasures can be. At Adelaide House, we’re proud to create these special moments that make our home feel even more like family.

Today we were treated to a wonderful live jazz performance by the talented Tracy O'Connor. Her music filled the home with joy, rhythm, and smiles all around. Thank you, Tracy, for bringing such warmth and energy to our day! 💃🕺🎶

🎃🕸️ Ghouls, Giggles & Goodies: Halloween Hijinks at Adelaide House! 🕸️🎃
We had a frightfully fun time celebrating Halloween with our lovely residents! From a lively game of Halloween Bingo to a brain-teasing trivia quiz, the day was filled with laughter and spooky cheer. 🍬🧠
Sweet treats were enjoyed by all, and the highlight of the day was a hauntingly delicious Halloween cake witchily crafted by our talented Chef Manager, Joana Smith! 🎂🧙‍♀️

🎉 Oktoberfest Fun at Adelaide House!

What’s an Oktoberfest without a little excitement?
We celebrated in true festive style—with games, prizes, and plenty of laughter! Residents, families, and staff joined in the fun, enjoying our Star of the Day: PinBall, where every drop of the ball was a guaranteed win! 🎈
The competition heated up with Darts, and of course, we couldn’t forget the all-time favourite—TOMBOLA!
🏆 Everyone had a blast, and the joy was truly contagious.

On Friday, we brought the spirit of Germany to Walton-on-Thames with a live accordion performance! Residents, families, and staff came together to enjoy traditional German accordion music, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere.
Thank you to everyone who joined us—it was a wonderful day filled with music, laughter, and community spirit! 🍂🍺💃

🎉 Celebrating 101 Wonderful Years! 🎉

Today(24/10/2025) we had the absolute honour of celebrating the 101st birthday of our lovely Margaret Betts! 💐💖
As part of her special day, Margaret wished for something sweet — and our amazing Chef Manager Joana Smith made it come true with two beautiful towers of vanilla cupcakes, lovingly baked just for her. 🧁✨
Surrounded by friends, laughter, and lots of love, we shared stories, smiles, and a few happy tears. Margaret’s warmth and wisdom continue to inspire us all every day.
Here’s to a truly remarkable lady and a century (plus one!) of cherished memories. 💝
