✨ Egyptian Festivals of Khoiak & Nehebkau (23rd & 29th November)
Two powerful Ancient Egyptian observances fall this month, marking the transition from one sacred season to the next.
🌒 23rd November – Khoiak
A contemplative festival closing the season of Akhet, traditionally associated with the mysteries of Asar (Osiris) and the descent into stillness before renewal.
🌱 29th November – Nehebkau
A festival of rebirth, honouring Nehebkau, “He who unites the Kas”. This protective serpent Deity symbolised regeneration and the weaving together of body, spirit, and purpose — heralding the start of the new agricultural season, Peret.
These ancient rites once brought communities into harmony with the land, the cosmos and one another — and they continue to inspire our work through Reyad Sekh Em® Egyptian Alchemy Healing.

Today, 3rd November, we celebrate Hilaria, the conclusion of the ancient Egyptian Festival of Isia — when Isis (Aset) restored Osirus (Asar) through the sacred act of re-membering.

This timeless myth speaks of restoration, compassion and balance — qualities much needed in our modern world.

🌑✨Samhain: Celtic New Year & Thin Veil Between Worlds✨🌑

Friday 31st October marks Samhain (sow-in), the end of the harvest and the beginning of the Celtic New Year. Once a sacred time to honour ancestors, Samhain is better known today as Halloween – yet its true essence is one of death, renewal, and connection beyond the veil.

✨ 7th October – Going Forth of Isis (Aset) ✨
Today we honour the Going Forth of Isis, a sacred Egyptian festival celebrating the Great Mother. On this day, Isis’s heart is gladdened as the heritage is granted to her son Horus. Aset was the indigenous name for Isis.

In ancient Egypt, a statue of Aset would be carried in procession between temples, with sacred rites and blessings offered at each stop. The journey culminated in joyful festival celebrations of healing, protection, and divine magic.

🌕✨ Ivy Hunter Full Moon Supermoon & Ancient Egyptian Energies ✨🌕

Tonight, Monday 6th October, 7.30–9.30 pm UK time, I am hosting a special Full Moon Meditation under the radiant Ivy Hunter Supermoon – the first of four consecutive Supermoons.

In the Celtic Tree Calendar, Ivy represents resilience, renewal and the sacred weaving together of all life. This lunar energy is beautifully complemented by the recent Egyptian festival of 22nd September – the Ancient Ritual of the Neteru of the Two Lands – which always falls close to the Pagan Equinox.

🌿 The Neteru of the Two Lands
The “Two Lands” comprised Upper and Lower Egypt:

Upper Egypt (to the south, reaching to Aswan), represented by the White Crown (Hedjet)

Lower Egypt (to the north, where the Nile fans into the Delta), represented by the Red Crown (Deshret)

The Pharaohs wore the Pschent, the Double Crown, to symbolise sovereignty over both realms. Spiritually, the Two Lands mirror the higher and lower aspects of the human self. This annual ritual acknowledged the need to integrate both aspects, harmonised with the guidance of the Neteru (Deities, or Angelic Beings).

Tradition credits King Menes (Narmer), c. 3000 BC, with uniting Upper and Lower Egypt. On the famous Narmer Palette, he is shown wearing both crowns – a powerful symbol of integration and balance.

💫 Just as the Equinox represents balance between light and dark, the Egyptian ritual of the Two Lands symbolises the unification of our inner dualities – a perfect prelude to the illumination of tonight’s Ivy Hunter Full Moon Supermoon.
