🌷🐣✨ A peaceful Easter celebration

Our Easter afternoon tea was full of togetherness and warmth, made even more special by the lovely live piano music. Residents enjoyed chocolate eggs, poem readings, cheerful bunny ears, and lots of fun during the egg hunt, bringing plenty of smiles.
We were also blessed to spend time with members of the Trinity Road Chapel congregation, sharing prayers, hymns, and meaningful reflection on the true message of Easter. Their visit brought such comfort and added even more meaning to our celebrations.
A truly special time centred around our residents, filled with faith and the peaceful joy of Easter.

💧🌈 Nutrition & Hydration Week Highlights! 🌈💧

Last week, we celebrated Nutrition & Hydration Week, and what a fantastic week it was!

Residents and staff got fully involved, boosting hydration in fun, creative, and meaningful ways, while also learning more about the importance of good nutrition and hydration.

Throughout the week we:
- had engaging discussions around hydration and nutrition
- Took part in fun and interactive quizzes
- Experimented with different recipes Explored textures, flavours, and colours
- Discovered new tastes together

A huge thank you to our amazing Food & Beverage Team and Chefs for their incredible effort, creativity, and dedication. You all made the week truly special! 👏

It was wonderful to see everyone coming together, enjoying the activities, and supporting each other’s wellbeing.

Today we celebrated Red Nose Day for Comic Relief 2026 with a fantastic bake-off competition featuring our Heads of Departments! We enjoyed some incredible creations from a delicious raspberry cheesecake to chocolate and raspberry treats, and a beautiful fruit loaf. The effort and creativity on display truly reflected the spirit and joy that Comic Relief brings every year .
A big congratulations to Will, but Sue and Przemeck, you are all winners for bringing such fun and kindness to our residents. Thank you all for taking part and making the day so special . Your energy and enthusiasm made a real difference!

Now that’s more like it… St. Patrick’s Celebration! ☘️💚
We turned the place green from head to toe — and yes, we mean EVERYTHING. Residents and families showed up dressed to impress in their finest green outfits, and the energy was contagious from the start.
The buffet? Fully green and absolutely fabulous.
Add in great music, lots of laughter, and a dance or two… and you’ve got yourself a proper celebration
And of course, we couldn’t miss a little Irish charm:
“May your home always be too small to hold all your friends.”
Safe to say… ours was FULL in the best way

Yesterday at Wandsworth Common Care Home, we celebrated Mother’s Day with a special afternoon tea. 🌸
Residents and their families enjoyed piano music, poetry, and warm conversation as we came together to honour the special bond of motherhood.
It was particularly lovely to see four generations of some families sharing the moment, great-grandmothers, grandmothers, mothers, and daughters.
A wonderful afternoon celebrating the love and legacy that mothers pass from one generation to the next. 💕

World Book Day
Residents celebrated the joy of reading with a visit to Waterstones, browsing new titles and choosing books for their grandchildren to inspire the next generation.
In the afternoon, everyone enjoyed a sensory storytelling workshop with a short film about the history of books, a fun Shakespeare quiz, and fragrances to guess the play. The session sparked great conversation.
A wonderful day celebrating stories and the magic of books. ✨

What an incredible experience we had with some truly magnificent birds of prey.
Seeing these birds up close never fails to capture attention.
Our residents were fully engaged from start to finish, asking thoughtful questions. It’s always inspiring to see such curiosity and enthusiasm in the room.
A big thank you to Jason for such an informative and interactive experience. Days like this remind us that learning doesn’t stop, and neither does the sense of wonder.
