Yesterday (29/03/26) between 11.30am - 1.30pm items have been dumped in the skip we have hired at Church Street Practice. This is very frustrating as the skip is now over full and the company will not take this adding more cost to the Practice. The reason we have a skip is to make the Practice better for our Patients and community. We feel very disappointed that somebody would take advantage of this. We would of course be very grateful if the items (garden furniture and exercise bike) were removed but feel doubtful of this, we will be reporting this to the authorities in the correct way and will review the CCTV that covers this area for supporting evidence.

We are currently experiencing some technical issues with our phone lines and computer systems. If your call or qurery can wait we would advise you contact us later in the week. We are working hard to rectify this however it is out of our control and appears to be a national issue.
Thank you for your patience during this matter.

*** Practice Closure***
Dear Patients
We just wanted to let you know that Church Street Practice will be closed from 1.00pm to 6.30pm on Wednesday 4th March for essential training.
This closure has been agreed by the local commissioning board (BOB ICB) to allow GP practices to facilitate training for their whole practice team.
If you require medical attention please do not ring the surgery but contact NHS111. If you require urgent or immediate treatment, please either attend Urgent Care or if life threatening consider attendance at A&E.
For any non-urgent queries or bookings we would ask that you contact the surgery on an alternative day via the usual method.
Many thanks in advance for your cooperation and support in this matter.

Please be aware as of 9/2/26, we will not be taking on any shared care agreements from private ADHD providers. We will prescribe medication initiated and established by NHS right to choose providers and continue to prescribe for our patients already on medication.

The exception is under 18s as the wait with right to choose providers is currently up to a year. We feel this is unacceptable and will take over prescribing from the providers on the right to choose list for under 18s if seen privately.

https://adhduk.co.uk/right-to-choose/

We have taken this decision to align ourselves more closely with other GP practices in the area whilst providing a safe and necessary service for our patients.

Right to Choose - If you are based in England under the NHS you now have a legal right to choose your mental healthcare provider and your choice of mental healthcare team.
