When I ask anyone who’s got a cold or flu if they’re taking vitamin D, 80% of people still say no, not realising how massively protective it is for our immune system, as well as our muscles, our brain and our bones 🦴

I’ve had many clients feel really different with just this one extra vitamin supplement.

Sitting too long ? 🪑 Feeling stiff 🦿If you’re sitting to work, driving, watching tv or scrolling on a sofa or chair, it’s really affecting your whole body, your metabolic system and your cognition 🥱🦴🫀

I’ve devised a 10% movement system which means for every 50 minutes of sitting you do 5 minutes of movement. This could be stretching 🧘‍♀️going up and down stairs, or running on the spot 🏃🏻‍♀️ Anything that unlocks your body from that chair position 🦿
Can you spare 5 mins every hour ?

What happens to your body long term if you don’t ? 😳

I now set a timer ⏱️ every hour and do approximately five minutes of stretching, and aim for an additional walk most days

Why? I’m moving the joints I want to keep 😉 💪

Don’t get me wrong, I like a sweet treat as shown in my selection below 👇 but foods high in refined sugar, taste sickly, sweet and chemical like once you lose the cravings

Whilst anxiety can cause insomnia, it’s not the biggest cause…..

Blood sugar imbalance is, particularly when blood sugar drops at around 3am. We then experience a surge of adrenaline as glucose is released from the liver and this makes us feel wired ➡️ = anxious thoughts 💭

So - what’s the solution? Keeping blood sugar stable throughout the day, with more protein and less caffeine , refined carbohydrates ( white flour) and sugars, particularly in the evening.

If you want an evening snack, ditch the sweet snacks and try peanut butter, humus, cream cheese on seeded Ryvita‘s, or a few nuts with 90% dark chocolate

Each has a distinct and definite taste either with some spice or some zing 🍋 🫐, and the berry one isn’t wishy-washy!

Why not choose one to put in a flask at the beginning of the day and keep topping up and hydrating yourself.
