On Elf Day, we had a blast playing games and enjoying fun challenges together! 🎉

Laughter filled the air as we cheered each other on, creating smiles and happy memories all around. It was the perfect chance to relax, be playful, and celebrate time spent with friends. ✨🎄

We kicked off the season with live music from Hendred Ukulele Group - HUG , along with lots of singing, dancing, and fun for everyone! It was a joy to see so many family and friends come together to celebrate.

To top it off, we enjoyed some delicious refreshments, including mulled wine, mince pies, chocolate, and biscuits. A truly festive and memorable afternoon for all! 🎅💙🎶

💅✨ Precious Pods! ✨💅
Our feet take us many places, so it’s so important to look after them!

Many of our residents have regular appointments with our podiatrist, but it’s also essential to keep on top of those quickly growing toenails and hard skin in between visits. And of course, we look after fingernails too!

It’s not just about nail care, it’s about pampering, relaxation, and the special moments we share. A chat, a coffee, feeling cared for, and taking time to rejuvenate all make these sessions extra special.

Our residents love seeing what’s new on the trolley, what’s waiting in the pedicure cupboard from our latest shop, and which new nail transfers have been added to the book!

We’ve been having an absolute blast in the kitchen, whipping up all sorts of Christmas goodies! 🎄🍫
From cheeky chocolate reindeers to Rice Krispie “Christmas puddings,” and even Tina’s famous (and dangerously delicious) lardy cake — it’s been pure sugary chaos… and we regret nothing! ✨❤️

We were delighted to welcome The Dementia Friendly Barbers to St Katharines! 💈

It’s important to remember that the gents in care deserve their own space too. A trip to the barber would have been a regular part of life back in the day, and it was wonderful to recreate that experience for them. ✨

Our residents truly enjoy spending time with one another, sharing stories, making memories, and having fun with activities like this. Moments like these remind us that the best connections are often made over simple joys and shared experiences. ✨ 💜

Thank you to everyone who came to our Christmas market on Saturday at St Katharine’s Care Home. Myself and the rest of the team can’t thank you all enough!

A huge thank you to our stallholders, musicians, line dancers, relatives, community guests, helpers, and everyone who donated prizes.

Our residents had a wonderful time experiencing a Christmas market, especially as it’s not always easy for some of them to get out and about.

We are very committed to bringing the community into our home and connecting with other organisations, so if there is anything we can do for you in the future, please do ask.

It’s been fantastic to see all the wonderfully gifted and talented people in our community.
You are all truly very special. ❤️

Our monthly Chapel service with Fr. Francis gave us a meaningful opportunity to discuss current events and how they relate to our faith. It was a wonderful way to strengthen our bond as a community and deepen our understanding of our beliefs.

Father Francis always leads us through insightful and thought-provoking discussions that leave everyone feeling spiritually nourished. We are truly grateful for his guidance and look forward to our next gathering. 🙏💛

🎄✨ We’re getting ready for Christmas at St Katharines Care Home ! ✨🎄

This week we’ve been busy spreading festive cheer with some fun and creative activities.

🍫 Chocolate Bark Treats
We made delicious chocolate bark—so simple, yet the perfect Christmas gift for the chocolate lovers in your life! Decorated with whatever sweets we had on hand, these treats were as fun to make as they will be to share. 🍬🍫

💌 Handmade Christmas Cards
Our residents also put their creative skills to the test making Christmas cards for our upcoming Christmas Market. From colourful paper and ribbon to glitter and simple markers, each card was lovingly crafted and completely unique.
It was a relaxing, sociable afternoon that brought everyone together—and there’s something truly special about a handmade card that you just can’t buy in a shop.

St Katharine’s is feeling very festive already… and we can’t wait for Christmas! 🎅✨
