A huge thank you to Leonardo Carer Support, who we visited at their HQ in Poole last week to deliver a new AED.

Not only did Ian from ARK Medical Solutions deliver a brand new Public Access Defibrillator (AED) — a vital piece of lifesaving equipment for the community — he also spent time training staff in Basic Life Support (BLS) and how to confidently use an AED in a real emergency.

Public Access Defibrillators save lives. Early CPR and early defibrillation can dramatically increase survival from sudden cardiac arrest, and having accessible equipment in community spaces makes a real difference.

But equipment alone isn’t enough.

The real impact comes from training — building confidence, understanding what to do, and learning from professionals who deal with these situations every day. Getting your first aid training from people who do the job ensures it’s practical, realistic, and truly prepares you when it matters most.

Last week, Ark Medical Solutions had the pleasure of delivering another successful Paediatric First Aid course to staff from primary schools across Purbeck, along with the wonderful team at Little Birds Preschool.
