29 years on this earth 🌎 💜

I struggle with my own aging and life's path.

I am grateful to everyone for all their birthday wishes and even gifts, I appreciate everything 🥰

I care so deeply for all the animals I care for, I have great empathy and understanding on how to care for animals as they age.
But my own aging almost scares me, I am glad Sam was with my last night whilst I cried about this all.

We had a lovely weekend seeing my brother 💜 and then carrot cake at today to celebrate 🍾 💗 - Lilli and Pippie joined us 🐾💗💜

Thank you to everyone I know and for those that trust me with their animals care ❤ 😊

🧡Dora🧡

Sleepy Dora enjoying a Sunday morning snooze 😴 😻

Cats are very good at hiding pain, this is why an annual veterinary exam is important as well as guardians keeping an eye on slight health changes.

Diet and exercise play a key role in keeping our feline friends healthy. Dora has now settled in and will be starting her Feline Conditioning sessions with me and she is a fed a variety of high quality meat products for breakfast and dinner 🍖 😋

From one study 90% of cats over the age of 12 years old had arthritis 🦴
Making sure they have a comfortable bed/resting place as well as keeping an eye on nail and hair changes 🐾

As with all the cats I treat we use a multimodal approach to their care, from non invasive equipment to gentle massage techniques.

Beautiful Bella 😍

Came in yesterday for her physiotherapy session.
Her guardians had noticed she was running odd, after a vet visit and then coming to me they have noticed she is moving a lot freer 💪🦵

Guardians have been giving exercises to carry on doing at home to help Bella from relapsing into old habits

It is important as guardians to keep an eye on how your animal moves, and to seek help before it becomes habitual.

Comes in regularly for her maintenance physiotherapy sessions. At 14 years old there is some muscle atrophy in the rear, but with her exercise plan at home alongside pain medication this is improving prosception awareness 💪🦵
Her guardian cares deeply about her and wants the best for her 💗

In our session I had noticed the fur between her paws 🐾 getting too long, so gave them a trim.... I am NO groomer.
But cutting back the long hairs - exposing the pads adds in grip and helps to stop your dog slipping.

Also keep an eye on the length of those nails - how are the wearing down? Are the even? Or are they too long? 💅 this can all effect posture changes and gait.

Dewi after his physiotherapy session yesterday 😴

I hope you and your animals coped with any fireworks, that went off last night - we maybe getting some more this weekend 🎆

Give yourself and your pets some grace today and take things slow. For cats they may not want to snuggle on the sofa and need more space. For dogs they maybe more nervous or 'reactive' out on walks.

Do some mental enrichment games such as 'Find it' searching for food or toys. Scatter feed in the garden or around the house - even cats will join in!
