I recently witnessed one of those beautiful, transformative moments that remind me exactly why I love the work I do.

A client stepped into a profound acceptance of who they truly are. This inner shift that opened the door to so much possibility and positive change.

It’s a privilege to hold space for these moments, to walk alongside people as they heal, grow, and reclaim their lives. I never take it for granted. This work continues to inspire me every single day.

I’ve had a really lovely and positive few weeks. I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting lots of new people who have invited me to support them. In such a short space of time, I’m already hearing the most wonderful progress and achievements.

People often ask me why I chose this work and the truth is, it feels like it chose me.

I love being a therapist because I get to sit with people in their most human moments. The messy, the painful, the brave, and the transformative. I get to witness people discovering their strength, their voice, and their capacity to heal.

Every day, I’m reminded that healing isn’t about perfection; it’s about connection, courage, and growth. And it’s an incredible privilege to be a part of people’s journeys.

Relaxation is a skill many of us have unintentionally set aside in today’s busy society, and this can take a real toll on our wellbeing.

A friend recently reminded me of this when she spoke about building in regular mobility exercises to help prevent injury. It made me reflect on how many aspects of our health - both physical and emotional can be protected simply by practicing small, preventative habits.

When working with clients, I often witness how taking the time to rest, recover, and truly relax can prevent stress and anxiety from building up. Learning and practicing relaxation techniques isn’t just about feeling calmer in the moment it can create lasting, positive changes in overall health and quality of life.

Why Talking Therapy Matters — Always

We often think of therapy as something you only turn to when you’re in crisis. But the truth is, talking therapy is like going to the gym for your mind.

Just like physical fitness, mental fitness isn’t something you achieve once and then forget about. You don’t stop working out once you’re in shape — you keep going to maintain your strength, your health, your balance. The same goes for your emotional well-being.

Talking therapy isn’t a last resort — it’s a powerful tool for ongoing growth, clarity, and resilience.
It helps you process life’s changes, understand your own patterns, and build stronger, more authentic relationships — with others and with yourself.

Let’s normalise it.
Let’s drop the stigma.
Needing support isn’t weakness — it’s wisdom.
